Saw a local Craigslist ad a couple hours ago.... Called the poster got an idea of what he had to sell, told him I would drive to the ATM then straight to his house to pickup some of the tools he had. Long story short, he made me a great deal on what is pictured below. This is the first really good deal I have come across on CL so far....I picked up everything in the picture below for $60!!!!!

All CM wrenches. A few of the screwdrivers are non craftsman. The tap/die sets are HF :( But other than that everything is craftsman and one SO scraper.:bounce:

Time to hit the garage and clean up some "new to me" tools!

Heck, thats less then a dollar apiece for the whole thing; probably waaayyy cheaper then flea market prices! By the way if you don't like those old black handled "pro" screwdrivers; you can warranty them for the new black/red ones!

Many people actually prefer the older gen black handles, however! :)

$60 is so dirty cheap its not even funny. Even if it is craftsman stuff. You could probably turn around and flip that as a "lot" on ebay and double your $$ especially at this time of year. Then again you can never have too many good tools you bought for cheap :) Good haul!

I've got that SO scraper--once you have one, you'll wonder how you lived without it.

I got a second one from MAC for free (crybaby at work threw it away because someone borrowed it, broke it and couldn't get it replaced before he moved out of town...the guy DID apologize for it). I pulled it out of the trash, warrantied it at the shop across the street the following Thursday, and then rounded off the corners on my bench grinder. I use it to scrape thinner metal that could get gouged or bent if the corners dig in.

Craigslist is such a great source nowadays for acquiring good tools.

Nice score.... and get those tools cleaned up and post up some new pics of your toolbox!

Man I love those screwdrivers.

Yeah I do too; but I discovered them too late, which was about the time when they were being discontinued; I especially liked the ones with the hard rubber coating.

Very nicely done!! I wish I could find some of those older Cman Industrial black screwdrivers.

Congratulations on your new tools!!!

Good Deal!! I can never find that type of deal on CL.

I check my local CL at least 3-4 times a day (tool & free sections). I have been looking like that for about three months and finaly came across this ad. Most of the free stuff I come across is pretty cool. I picked up 12 sheets of white 4x8 brand new peg board the other week for free! Just keep checking you local CL, you WILL find a deal... They are out there!
