I need a spanner wrench for a Jacobs 633C 1/2" drill chuck. Collar measures 1.543" outside dia and a .212" dia drill bit goes into the three holes equally spaced radially. This is the best I could find so far from Epstein.

Is this what I need?

I would think so. 1/8" is smaller than the holes, and at 1.5", that's perfect for that size spanner.

Did you try to contact "Jacobs"? I know they make spanner wrenches for their chucks.

I'll give it a try but it's not really part of the chuck. I have a manual coming for the drill press, maybe I can get a part number from that.

It should work. I'd try to fit it to the chuck and then tack weld it to get rid of the slop.

You can get pin and hook spanners and www.use-enco.com as well. Don't see them on sale right now in the Hot Deals but they often are.

The hole pattern.. are they slots or round holes?

Go go mcmaster.com and search for spanner, then click on spanner wrenches, then Type "E". Those are the kind I prefer for chucks with slots (which is most all of them that I've run into).

Either way, mcmaster lists all the relevant info you need to pick the right one.
