$275 with 1 day, 3 hours to go. 29 bids, so apparently plenty of people don't think it's too much yet.

Man you are gonna be pissed when you misplace one of those. I had to purchase a set of used high angle open ends for AC work. Snap On was the only one that had that much of an angle. For standard box/open end wrenches I use Crapsman, I cant afford to fill my toolbox with the high end stuff.

Several brands make 4 way angle wrenches, and they all have the same 30/60 degree angles. Snap-On are the best in my opinion, but even the cheapest I've seen (the ones at Northern Tool) aren't half bad.

OP: That's a good deal at 275, and it'll continue being a good deal for a while longer. Those look to be in near mint condition, they're FD+, the set is as complete as it gets, and they're cheaper than the 400+ they'd cost you new. A bargain if that's what you're looking for -- I'm not looking for them, though, so for me personally they're too much.

.

FYI snap on 4 way wrenches are not the same angle as cornwell, the only company that I'm aware of that makes there wrenches in the same 30/60 offset as snap on is "v8". The majority of them utilize 15/60.. including Mac, Cornwell, Martin

Woops! Thanks for clarifying Hiball. Someone's not been paying very close attention.

That is way to much for that set of wrenches. I just sold a set at the auction I held last week and I only got $180.
I have paid $120 to $140 for the sets. If you look hard you will find them much cheaper.
The problem is that people live where there are to swap meets or secondhand stores. They are willing to pay more because it is still cheaper than buying them new. The local pawn shop has a set for $195 and they will come down.

Flank Drive Plus? $195 from 1/4" -1" In the same condition linked in that Ebay auction?

Could you post a address or phone number to the Pawn shop? or be willing to ship them to a GJ Member?

Used Snap on is worth about 50% of retail. So I would say that set is too high. I buy and sell used tools and have found the used SO market is well defined at 50%. Brand new goes for 65%. Well worn and marked go for 35% or so.

That's a good deal at 275 but that price is going to hit 350 when it closes maybe even more. I got a 3/8"-1" fd+ for 230 shipped the set was very lightly marked though but other wise in mint condition.

If I buy from ebay I try to get a steel. Snap on doesn't have to warranty eBay purchases. UV been luck enough that my Rep likes me and does... Probably because I've spent a tone of money with him already.
