Bought this off cl today for 50 bucks ! Don't really need another box but I had to buy it!
I was the first caller and 5 people offered him more while I was speeding to get there, its a husky .... I know..... but it has roller bearings and he threw in a Plomb body hammer that he forgot was in there. I asked him about the hammer and he said he had a shop full of Plomb about 45 min away.
He is going out of town tonight but I get first dibs on his tools at his shop Thursday night :)

As far as the box goes, I'm gonna make it my workbench and beat the hell out of it.:p

You ****. :) I am looking for a box myself (chest, roller, workbench/cart, etc). All my stuff is crammed into 2 small portable boxes, and finding stuff is horrible. If anyone in my area has one for a good price, please message me (brand not important -- Husky, Task Force, Stanley, whatever).

I'm into the boxes about 215 total. I started with the herbrand and old craftsman top and bottom full of tools for 75, then with the money I made off those I bought over 15 nice guns, a bunch of tools, close to 20 vises, a few laptops, 2 trips to Washington DC, quite a few dad can I borrow money loans and so on. Its been a great hobby and I still have plenty of cash in my pocket to try to turn around without spending my bill money.

I am stoked about the hammer. His mom started workin for proto in 1949 so his dad started buyin all the discontinued Plomb . In 1952 he was such a regular they gave him a job also. The guy was telling me story after story of what he had but the one that sticks out was when he said " that don't look right son.... let's Plomb it" and then he went off to grab a Plomb tool.
Its gonna be a rough week, I feel like the kid in the Disney commercials " I'm too excited to sleep"

LOL, sold the box! I friggin hated it! First it was to new but I thought I could live with that, then it was flimsy as all get up but I decided it could still work for a bench sorta, then I pulled out a drawer to clean it and the bearings all fell out!
Put it back on cl and took the first 225 offer I got, good riddance!

Well that was nice of you, broke it, then charged more for it than what it cost you. :headshake I feel sorry for the poor sap that bought it. I guess the saying is true about "There is a sucker born every minute". I'm amazed you got $225 for that, congrats.... I guess.

Well done!! Nothing like making a little money on a tool box!! Hope you do well with the plomb tools too.

I'd have to say you triple ****,,,,,,,,first on the buy, second for the sale, and third for the hammer

I had to work late, called the guy and set it up for tomorrow. I still can't sleep, I am dreaming of plvmb heaven! One more friggin day.....

Go ahead and go to bed early tomorrow, I can be there to preview the Plumb stuff. That way if there's nothing good (and I would tell) you could get some sleep knowing a GJ friend is looking out for you. What are friends for:evil:

I would have to leave pretty early tomorrow to make it from Oregon but its doable.

You are a true friend, I can't begin to tell ya how appreciative I would be for such a thoughtful gesture:dunno: but I will have to politely decline your offer and will bear this burden by myself so I don't cause any "buddies" undue stress.
