Found a few spring clamps at an estate sale this morning. Orange are USA Pony, black are USA Craftsman, and green/red are unmarked lighter duty. Spacers, four 6" rulers, protractor, spool of solder, set of small files, and a pair of USA Diamond long nose pliers. $20 for all.

BC, the jaws are for an Eifel Flash Plierwrench (The original Plierwrench) and I'd have been interested but I have pairs with those jaws already. Great finds overall and I like the Stanley vise! I have one of those Sweethearts with (Most of) it's original black and orange paint

Paris...Eifel, I knew i was close. Figures that i find the jaws and just sold off my pliers at my yard sale 2 weeks ago:mad:

Anyways, if anybody wants to complete their set, i've got them laying around

This one, I found the box in a '49 pdf and wanted to know more about it. BTW, it has WATERLOO stamped behind the logo.

A good day at the garage sales.

First one didn't have much for tools but picked up an old Coca Cola crate and a Tonka toy turck and trailer. $6 total, that crate came in handy later!

Second stop I had been to before. Not much for tools this time but picked up a Dremel mini drill press.
I remembered he had a Wilton Bullet last time and asked him about it this time. He called his son who agreed to sell it. Got it home and checked it over. The bad: No jaw inserts, the ledge the jaw inserts sit on was broken off on both sides, the jaw insert screws were broken off, the dynamic jaw was loose on the tube, on the swivel base the inner part was cracked. The good: The screw and handle were in decent shape, the swivel nuts and carraige bolts were in usable shape, the pipe jaw inserts were in decent shape, the outer swivel ring was in good usable shape and it had the rear "cup".
For more info check the vise thread!

The third stop was a little difficult to find at first, there was no sign. Finally found it and glad I did. Seller was a former diesel mechanic along with a lot of other jobs over the years. He had lost a foot to diabetes complications which being diabetic myself I could relate to his heath issues.
He had a lot of stuff hiding away in his various boxes and shed and I spent about 2 hours looking through everything. He had quality stuff and Harbor Freight stuff so you had to go through every drawer, nook and cranny.

Harbor Freight long 1/2 breaker bar for my neighbor for his tractor
Impact 1/2" socket set with 4 Taiwan, 4 Snap On, 1 Craftsman and 5 Mac sockets
8 metric 1/2" impact flex sockets, 7 Ingersol Rand and 1 Cornwell
8 SAE 1/2" impact flex sockets, 1 Taiwan, 1 Snap On, 1 Matco and 5 Mac
BIG Proto 10" C-clamp in good shape
Walden 3/4" ratchet with angled end. He said it was for changing tires on big Army trucks. the angled end was so you could put your foot on it!
Proto long handle 1/2 ratchet

Proto Professional 1 5/16 combo wrench
Eleven Crescent, GearWrench and 1 Craftsman ratcheting wrenches
Four K-D USA metric wrenchs 29, 23, 22,21 MM
11 MM Craftsman combo wrench which I needed for one of my hand carry tool box sets.
S-K 1/4 ratchet in decent condition

Mayhew prybar

Four Mac metric combos 17, 16, 14, 13 mm
Craftsman Professional 18MM (which I needed for another set) and 1/2" combos.

I had spent all the time (AND MONEY)I wanted to so I made this my last sale of the day.

I made a yard sale sign for him, hung it out on the street. Helped keep my total down to a reasonable $165

9Four, to the best of my knowledge, 47 to 64, but primarily the decade of the 50's (always some ramp up and ramp down with the suppliers.)

Bluebolt, pics or it didn't happen!

Bluebolt WHERE in the vise thread? I went back three pages, and no Bluebolt...

LOL give me some time to type! I updated the original post twice because I hate it when my computer dumps and I lose 20 minutes of typing. Working on vise thread post before I go to bed just for you!

First stop today was unplanned, on the way to the atm. I walk up looking for tools, nice lady points me to the weedeater/blowers on the ground and mentions the only other tools related thing are these two nut bins. I quickly handed over the only $5 in my pocket to hold them for me to return from the atm. Got back, paid the remaining $15 bucks and had to remove the drawers from the wider one to carry to the truck. All the drawers have misc metal hardware, these were HEAVY!

The next 5 planned stops, NOTHING...Then I go to the church sale and find this box of MF chisels and right cut snips, greenlee auger bits, brass stencils and blue chalk for a couple bucks.

Also got these two books from the church sale for a buck each.

Few more unsuccessful stops and headed home, see an estate sale sign and turn in. There are no cars there, only two lil ladies by the door. I walk up and ask if theres a sale, one mentions there is and to look around the patio and front room. I inquire about tools, the other lady mentions she has a garage full of tools but she just found her husband dead in the back bedroom a couple days ago and is too disturbed to do anything with them today, but that she would be having another sale next weekend with more. I ended up making a sympathy purchase and left my business card telling her I would be happy to assist in pricing her garage for the upcoming sale.

Here is what I bought, 10" tall bike. It looked halfway homemade in the dark, I walked outside with it and the poor widow said she had just purchased it at pier 1 for $30 and just wanted to sell everything in the house so I paid full asking asking price of $12.99 and of course let her keep the penny change...

The photos last night didn't do much to show off the $40 chemistry set. Here it is spread out and organized.

Today I picked this up for $35 at an estate sale. Finally I have a mold to use up my bucket of lead.

Hey I have a slightly older version, I think my paint is a bit better but I am missing the wheels. Do those wheels have whitewalls?

7 yard sales and MILES of wrong turns following signs that had no arrows.

C-man '50ish Toolbox #650x(?) w/metal handle - $5.00 (lid is tweaked and the tray needs a few "loving taps" with a hammer)
Reed Pipe Threader Set - $5.00
Snap-On Prybar #SPB12A - $1.00 (my first snap-on. needed a little file work on the tip, and scotchbright the rust before oiling)

I didn't think you wanted to see the T-shirts or the 50¢ breast feeding pillow. :D

.

No you **** deals today. Got 3 usa made files for 50 cents yesterday. Today I got a tool tray with some misc tools, including a made in usa metal snips, a welding hammer, and some other misc junk for 10 dollars. That was at one sale, at another I got a propane tank for 5 dollars, a White 672 sewing machine with cabinet for 5 dollars, and some cheap dishes for some friends. The sewing machine works as far as I can tell, not really garage related but it is heavy duty machinery. And if the quick google search is right it is worth 150-200.

The tool tray is going to figure in my welding cart plans. I have some bulk storage like for my leathers and helmet on my tray, but it is not real handy for smaller stuff like tips and pliers.

Last pictured item I don't know what it is. There appear to be strips of metal that fit into a collet setup similar to an exacto knife. The pieces of metal are not sharp, and in the bottom of the pen/device, there are ~10 spare strips of metal. Any ideas what this is :dunno:

That is a contact burnisher for relay and switches. It will clean the contacts on a relay much more gently that a file, and will not remove most platings.

Nice find!
