Those damn New Briton and Blackhawk sockets look soo much like the Snap-on's no matter how careful I am I always seem to end up with a couple of them after a day at the sales.

I'm not sure that anyone has the answer to that question, or if they do, they're not telling. I've been trying to find out as well.
It has something to do with the change from Moore Drop Forge to Easco to Danaher.
From about 1959 to the late 60's, they used the =V= stampV: for small 1/4" sockets and extensions)
Then Easco took over and from the late 60's(?) to the 80's(?) the -V- codes were used. Part numbers were added after 1974.
For a short time in the 70's(?) I think the =V= came back, but it was short lived.
After 1986 (Danaher) it switched to -G-, and it's variations. Then back to variations and combos of V.

Time well spent there Rick with all those USA made sockets.
However, gotta know HOW MUCH as big difference between You **** Score versus full retail for used stuff.
Can't earn a You **** award if don't tell GJ what you paid!![]()
Damn Rick, lots of good sockets, can't believe you left the SK Wayne and Proto Professionals though!
Weren't the professionals made after Stanley bought them out? I don't collect Waynes and they don't sell as well on the bay... might grab them just because in two weeks.

No u **** deals but I am happy for Sunday deals
Spent 20 for a creeper(no pic) and a box of USA (90 %) sockets /ratctches, vice grips and a craftsman box with the logo I needed for a vice restore.
20 bucks for the hon cabinet and a laptop bag . And a buck for the toolbox shelf...
I think that is definitely worthy of a "you ****" award.
So much better than a plastic box.Trying out embedding the pic....anywho...picked this up for 25 this weekend. Rough on the outside, but the moving parts are oiled and run like a top.
Almost new gas weedwacker with electric start- 20

Rick -
That's a big YOU **** from the northeast !!!!!!!AAAAACK!!![]()
That was a good 1 1/2 hours spent.
I can't find that many =V= series in 10 places, let alone 1. Up here no-one gives them up.
Did you find any 19/32, 21/32, 25/32 shorts, or the elusive 25/32 deep socket in =V= ?

$50 for the haul, with the promise of giving him the bin back in two weeks...or keeping it in my car in case he pops in my work.

That jogged my memory, I checked my =V= sockets and sure enough I have a 25/32 deep in nice condition!
Now, now - don't go teasing the wildlife.![]()
That looks real nice, especially for $25. So basically you bought an electric motor and got a drill press for free?

HAHA.. I once bought this huge antique "hack saw" at a garage sale for $5. I played around with it and was like "this hack saw *****!". Turned out it was a butchers hack saw for cutting up large carcasses. It just hangs on the wall these days.
I see some wide groves.[/URL]![]()
9 William's
You wouldn't want to part with the Williams would you? Very awesome finds guys. This weekend I was able to hit an Estate Sale on Friday after work along with a weekend flea mkt on Sunday.

Here are the highlights, other drawers just have some of whats in these.
Don't you just love digging through random bins? It's a new surprise in every box. Screws, plumbing fittings, electrical misc, anchors ,even a gas cap
Looks like they gave you a good variety. Can someone tell me what model the tool box is likely to be?

Weird day.
