Where do I look for primers on sheet metal tools?

I've searched a bit, don't see what I need.
I've got a new HF eyecrazy:I know) 3 in one, roll/brake/shear, setting it up.
It doesn't want to cut square, need a 101 class.

You need to adjust the fence. depending how wide that machine is the fence my be lacking, not making it easy to cut square. I would put a framing square up against the blade and the fence to see if it needs adjusting.

if its cutting out of square its the back gauge
if its not cutting straight its the clamp not holding evenly

I'm just curious, why did you buy a tool that you didn't know how to use? I think HF has encouraged a lot of people to buy tools they wouldn't normally have bought. So they have expanded the number of tool users in my opinion. It used to be shop class or fathers was where people were encouraged in the past.

Well I grew up in the pipe trade, motor cycles a hobby.
Now that I'm retired, I want to keep learning new skills.
Sheet shaping metal is one, and this "junker" forming tool
is fine to start out with. No one has answered my question of metal forming 101.
Guess I'll go to the library.

Yes it's not cutting straight, think there's a hump in the blade,according to a straight edge, but adjusting the bolt out didn't seem to make a difference. Think that blade took "a set". Can it be straightened out with heat?

The fence is flimsy, so I clamped a strait edge *90 to the blade, I may have issues on the clearance of the blade also.
Thats why I like to find a set up/maintenance of a shear tutorial.

The day you stop learning is the day you start dying, as they say. That machine is actually pretty usable if you don't push the limits too much. Unfortunately the only one I have used was already dialed in when I used it, so I don't know what was involved.

Most of the useful stuff on the internet about sheet metal forming (or other manual metal work, for that matter) seems to be on YouTube. I dunno if there'll be any help with your setup problems, but there will be good info on using a slip roller or brake.

The brake and roll seems fine.
