Its about time I post some pictures of my workshops. Ill start with my tiny welding shop in a single bay(Its a two bay garage but the wife owns the other side for her car)
The air compressor supplies both my shops. whats neat about this, its a detached garage about 30' away from my house. I did this by running a airline with the power that feeds my compressor and welders. The compressor started as a cheap HF compressor, the original compressor head was ok but got really frickin hot, couldn't keep up when I used any tools that required a lot of air and the worst it was loud and annoying when running. So some modification was required:D I bought a twin head and a 3hp motor and built the one I am now using, no more problems.

More pics. . . the vise mounted on the pole is about the handiest thing I built . .. the base is a part off a hay baler that weighs about 50lbs. Roller stand for long stock cutting for the bandsaw. The black tube with a red end is a propane torch I made for preheating parts prior to welding.
Three tool boxes one for bar, c-clamps and other misc fixtures for welding, another one for flap, grinding discs and wire brush wheels, and one for wrenches hammers, drill bits, chisels, tapes, squares etc. Stacked with them is my Dewalt portable bandsaw and Porter Cable sawsall. The giant ammo box painted black and yellow stripes is for my grinders and drills. These are the same tools that I pack in my welding trailer when I need to go mobile. Ah my welding cart I had fun building this one. It holds my two main welders a Miller Passport Plus and my Everlast PowerPro 205. My third welder is a 3in1 also ;picture in the first post, is mounted on a hand truck with a 80cf argon tank, I've had this one for over 5yrs and no problem. The second argon tank is used with the PP205 and for back purging. I have quick connects on all my CO2 and Argon setups so I can hook up any tank to any one of my welders.

Here are some more pictures of my welding cart and and whats on it.

The yellow organizer came from HF and its built as good or better than Plano organizers. I use this to store all my tungstens in (copper tubes), collets, collet bodies, cups, end caps, an extra Weldcraft TIG torch, MIG tips and nozzles, plasma cutter cups, rings, tips, and electrodes. Also a 1/4" 4"x4" plate for heat sink for welding small and or thin parts, a digital scale and a CO2 bottle refill kit for refilling the small bottles that go in the Miller Passport Plus. Replacement batteries and lens covers for welding hoods.

Two 5-gallon pails with Gama lids I store my two TIG torches, SSC foot pedal, mini grinder for sharpening tungstens, stick electrode welding cable, and two jumper cables.
PVC tubes and carrying rack for TIG filler for steels, aluminums, stainless steels, and cast iron.
Also one small fire extinguisher.

Great welding cart...I might have to steal some inspiration from you! I am a amateur welder, like many farmers, so it is good to get a look at your setup.

Onto the basement shop.

Keypad door lock for security. This was a fun build, I designed and made my own printed circuit boards along with some other hardware came up with this.
First part is not so much a workshop area but more a research, design, and study area now. When I was big into building, repairing and setting up computers and servers this was the area I did all that.

Onto the good part:)
Hardware bench, bought more organizers awhile ago and still need to place them.
Island workbench with a exhaust hood

1/2" copper air line runs down the length of the shop feed from the compressor in the garage.

Start of my little machine shop, sometime in the future we plan on purchasing a larger property and that means I get to build a larger all in one building workshop:D and my little machine shop will get to grow to the size I want.
The last picture in this post is my challenge/fun project I'm working on. Its the start of a vertical mill. Other parts for it are in the big drawer I use for holding stock and project parts (in the previous picture)

Drill press that was picked up at a auction several years ago for $30 it was a mess when I got it. Fixed it up to the condition its in now.

Electronics workbench, just built this bench to replace the older one I was using. The metal self unit, tan filing cabinet and brown cabinet house all the electronic components that I have salvaged and bought.

Filing cabinet and the top cabinet I picked up at a surplus sale for under $20 couple of years ago. The top one is filled with plano organizers that house small electronic components.

Thanks, one thing I would do differently is come up of a way to have independent suspension on it. Its a little difficult to pull over even ground when it teeter tots on two wheels. One of theses days ill rebuild it that way.

And there was more! You are into everything it seems. We were just up your way, took the family camping at Airventure. Suspension would be cool.

A new to me machine and changes/upgrades.

Added a outlet and two permanent cords, one for the drill press and one for other power tools I use. After using it a few times I'm glad I installed them.

I bought a used mini mill Seig x2, I kinda feel I paid too much for it but I wanted it when I saw it. The guy was asking 450 for it talked him down to 250 bucks. I had a spot for one this size so I filled it :) The picture of the mill is after I made my modifications to it.

The last picture is the before picture for the 2nd picture.

I can think of three too's right off:

You have too much space
You have too many toys
You are having too much fun.

(Just Kidding)

Everything looks great. I would be the kid in the candy store with your set up!!
Great on everything.

Best Regards

This shop and basement work shop no longer exists. We sold our house and are currently in the process of having a new one built with attached garage and workshop. So currently every thing is packed up and is in several storage lockers. I will miss this work space but look forward in setting up a new one.
