The kicker is it only comes with 1 battery. That's a little bit of a bummer.
That's the DIY part of it, and how they keep cost low.
I used the right angle impact driver in this line yesterday. I was actually driving self-drilling sheetmetal screws, #10x3/4. It worked fine. Not as much juice as my Milwaukee M12 impact driver which I switched to for the holes that didn't truly need the right angle driver for clearance, but my M12 had an XC battery on it so it's not a fair comparison.
Most of the Nextec line is decent from what I've seen, and I think it's exactly where Sears intended it to be: real good tools for the weekend warrior father type. If you were going to use it on a jobsite you'd be disappointed. I think it's kind of in line with Ryobi: good performance, good value.
If anyone invests in this platform for the first time, get the fluorescent light. It's quickly become my favorite light in the shop. Was doing trailer wheel bearings last nite and with the magnets I just stuck it up in the underside of the fender; illuminated the spindles perfectly.
