craigslist score

picked up this miller for $100, the guy said there was a problem as it kept tripping the breaker ever time he turned it on.

took it apart and found out the switch was wired backwards!

I have more 3/8" stuff than 1/4" and have been used to using 3/8" more I guess. The first time I ever seen one of those cordless ratchets I wanted a 1/4" because I thought it'd be smaller but when I found out they were almost both the same size I went with a 3/8.

Got these 2 sets today on my quest to fill up my tool cart. A set of long metrix hex sockets and a set of long torx sockets. I wanted the short ones but the long ones were a good price and came in those cool little boxes.

Picked this up today! It was traded in to my Matco Dealer this week and he gave me a great deal....$380! It's only about 14 months old and was well taken care of. I should know, one of the guys I work with was the one who traded it in.

$16. I did the buy it now price of 100 plus shipping and slipped the bidding because it was what I was looking for. I didn't want to miss out on it.

$40 for all 9, most are new, some have seen some slight use, like the two stubbies. Only think I didn't like was the Snap On Racing logo, should've kept it simple. Good catch?

Not a tool in the common use of the term but still a tool to get around. I picked it up for $400. It runs and drives. He sold it due to it could not pass emissions. I hooked up my Torque app and adapter and saw codes for cat efficiency. But it runs and drives and has a straight body. A new project to motivate me since it sits in my back yard.

If there is a real issue with the cat or 02sensor the codes will come back, and if it failed for the actual gas emissions it will fail again, its not that simple

You could install a spark plug fowler on the downstream cat to space to O2 sensor further away. I have done it for a few people who could not afford to get their cats replaced.

:edit: I checked the catalog and they do do not list rebuild kits so I guess if i break one and i cant find a rebuild kit on eBay I can send the ratchet back to Sk for a whole replacement. I am pretty hard on mine at work and they are holding up.

I plan on replacing the cats. For about $400-500 for bolt on ones. I see several Crown Vics on CL that wont pass emissions but they still want good money. For $400 for the car I will do cats vs. $1500-2000 and still wont pass emissions. It is a good foundation to start off with, good motor, ******, body, and 147K miles. I think I can get another 100K out of it.

Cats are pretty common on crown vic cop cars. I'd guess it is all the idling they do. Back when I worked at the ford garage, I replaced just about every set on squad cars for a city of 50,000 people in about a 6 month stretch.

I never justified the purchase of a 43875 (or J.159A) because I have two 3870s already.

a 43875 just went for 42$ on eBay in near-new and a couple days later one showed up on Amazon for 91$. Coincidence?

I've been needing some 1/4" impact sockets for awhile now. I have my eye on a master set, but for now these will have to do. I paid $8 for one Tekton set and $9 for the other one. I can't remember which one was more $$$. :dunno:

The sets are made in Taiwan and should work for my needs. The Makita set was $20. I'm not sure where they're made so I assume Japan? It doesn't say on the package.
