*Edit its Bostitch not Bosh.

No such company named "Bosh" . . . . . it's Bosch.

DEFINITIONS:

BOSH - - - Bidirectional-streams Over Synchronous HTTP - - is a transport protocol that emulates a bidirectional stream between two entities (such as a client and a server) by using multiple synchronous HTTP request/response pairs without requiring the use of polling or asynchronous chunking. For applications that require both “push” and “pull” communications, BOSH is significantly more bandwidth-efficient and responsive than most other bidirectional HTTP-based transport protocols and the techniques known as AJAX. BOSH achieves this efficiency and low latency by avoiding HTTP polling, yet it does so without resorting to chunked HTTP responses as is done in the technique known as Comet. To date, BOSH has been used mainly as a transport for traffic exchanged between Jabber/XMPP clients and servers (e.g., to facilitate connections from web clients and from mobile clients on intermittent networks). However, BOSH is not tied solely to XMPP and can be used for other kinds of traffic, as well.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOSH

BOSCH - - Robert Bosch GmbH, or Bosch, is a multinational engineering and electronics company headquartered in Gerlingen, near Stuttgart, Germany. It is the world's largest supplier of automotive components measured by 2011 revenues.

Bosch's core products are automotive components (including brakes, controls, electrical drives, electronics, fuel systems, generators, starter motors and steering systems), industrial products (including drives and controls, packaging technology and consumer goods and building products (including household appliances, power tools, security systems and thermotechnology).[3]

Bosch has more than 350 subsidiaries across over 60 countries and its products are sold in around 150 countries.[3] Bosch employs around 306,000 people and had revenues of approximately €52.5 billion in 2012. In 2012 it invested around €4.8 billion in research and development and applied for around 4,800 patents worldwide.[3] In 2009 Bosch was the leader in terms of numbers of patents at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (GPTO) with 3,213 patents.

However, Bosch continued to extend its international footprint through company acquisitions and investments in new plants, and will continue along with this path in 2013. For example, the Bosch Group is planning to set up a manufacturing site for automotive windshield-wiper systems near Belgrade, Serbia. By 2019 some 70 million euros will be invested. Construction work was set to begin in early 2012, with production due to commence at the start of 2013. Initially, some 60 associates will work in manufacturing operations with a floor area of around 22,000 square meters. By 2019 the number of associates is set to rise to some 620. Its objectives are to achieve a better increase in sales than in 2012 and to improve result significantly.[4]

Robert Bosch GmbH is privately owned, and 92% of its share capital is held by Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, a charitable foundation.[3] The majority of voting rights are held by Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, an industrial trust.[3] The remaining shares are held by the Bosch family and by Robert Bosch GmbH.[3] The Bosch logo represents a simple magneto armature and casing, one of the company's first products

Just tried to get this deal. Was able to put it into my cart for store pick-up but then shows not available anymore. Guess someone just figured it out.

Re: Bostitch brad nailer and compressor $29.97

Thanks for listing OP as this deal is almost too good to be true.

Prices range on Ebay at $165 to Amazon at $259 . . . :eyecrazy:

Found quantity 2 within 50 miles for me . . . see if order goes through !!
If this pans out, will have 2 out-the-door for $65 w/ tax.

That's just a crazy, silly good deal if it works... even if its not the best brand its significantly cheaper than Harbor Freight... Too bad it's too late now, the deal is gone.

Ordered at midnight, tried to pick up at my local store at 7:30am. At first they couldn't find my order, but when they did, they called a manager over. He told me they got a memo stating it was a price mistake. Still worth a shot though, as some people on SD were able to get them.

Called store before I drove the 50 miles one-way . . .
. . .
. . . . . you guessed it . . . .Lowe's "corporate" has instructed the store to NOT HONOR THAT PRICE and has rejected the order. Rep says they received those instructions at 6 am today.

Asst Mgr said my credit card has been refunded.

Tried every possible persuasion to get "comparable" product (he says they have BTFP12238 model # on shelf) in lieu of the CPACK1850BN (ie model # in the slick deals) but the Asst Mgr says "we don't have that model #" to which I ask if he has Item # 299318 (ie the same thing), and he says Yes we have that Item # in our system!!! Only offer he made me was pay "shelf price" of $179 per unit.

My theory is . . . . Lowe's had "SweatHeart Deal" for contractors at one point and sold them this Bostitch nailer/compressor for that dirt cheap price!!

Now they are refusing to honor that price to the general public.

Local Lowe's assistant manager is trying to get me some sort of in-store credit as gratuity for their mistake . . . . we'll see. :dunno:

I have noticed that on Lowe's website that they show a super low price or big savings on random items.

Then when you add it to your cart it is either not in stock or the price changes drastically.

I try to only buy from Lowe's when I can score a deal. Their coupon policy at most of the stores in my area has changed along with the attitude of their cashiers when you I have a coupon.

I had a cashier tell me that I couldn't use a coupon on an item because it was already sale priced and the computer wouldn't allow it. I had to ***** and complain before the manager gave me a scolding and telling me that they would make an exception and honor the coupon this time. :dunno: I reminded them that Lowe's offered the coupon not me.

They also won't take printed coupons or scan them from your smart phone when you get them emailed to you through their moving service?

Home Depot ain't much better but at least they are somewhat consistent.

Rant over!

Ordinarily I would have raised hell, but I was right across the road getting my hair cut anyway. They've done me good on a couple deals recently.
