Alot of people like professional tool. Im not sold yet. U can buy the same tools alot cheaper from many other suppliers. Rather then spend the money that cornwell and matco want.
Well, I don't know who makes it, but I just snagged a new CAT520 for $39.99 shipped. It lists on the Cornwell site for $120.
I was really looking for an angled die grinder, something compact, but this is a full size. I couldn't pass it up for the price. I surely could have used it today when I was cleaning up gasket surfaces on a head and block with a red Scotch Brite pad, brass wire wheel in an angle grinder, acetone and a rag. That took waaaayyy too long.

I bought an air saw from a Cornwell truck. Its cut something every day since 04. Its imported but works well.

I have their reversible air cutoff wheel. It's very nice to be able to direct the shower of sparks away from yourself no matter what position you're in.
Scotchbrite pads work well just be careful as they will removal metal. They sell little wire wheels that are also very good at gasket removal and is personally what I prefer since you can be fairly aggressive with it without worrying about sanding down aluminum. There are also plastic ones, called bristle discs, that are nice for polishing and light gasket removal without worrying about damaging any of the gasket surfaces.

They are made by Professional Tool Products, and they are well made and durable. I would say you have bought a bargain.

I got lucky on eBay! The seller has a few negatives, but the item is described as new and it had a $39.99 BIN with free shipping. I was worried it was going to get snagged by someone while I was doing research, because old used grinders and new Asian ones both can go for well above $40.
The die grinder feels great in the hand.
I did not find any stamping anywhere on the tool itself about where it is made.
It does look new, but came in a plain cardboard box (not a factory box) with no manual and no wrenches for the collet, or whatever it's called. That isn't great, but at $40 for the tool itself I'm still happy.
