Hi everyone: I'm a new member who ran across this site doing some research on Race Deck. Here are a few pics of the blank slate upon which I will do my garage project after we close in mid-October. The immediate pan is a Race Deck floor plus a coordinating paint job on the walls. I'll have 12' of storage put along one wall and do a 6' workbench on another. Hoping to put a big, black Craftsman griplatch tool chest in there along with my compressor etc. I'll probably also add some ceiling mounted racks for storing totes and stuff.

Great score. I'm confused about the last pic you posted of the extra single, is that off the back of the house?

Same here. From the first picture it looks like a three car garage with two doors, but the single looks to be walled off in later pics. Is is a 4th garage somewhere?

Looks like a great place. Happy for you. Jealous for myself!

It actually faces the front on the other end of the house from the 3 car. Here is a series of photos taken a little earlier in the process that show the entire front of the house;

Thanks for the comments. Can't wait to get in there and get started.

Welcome to the forum looks like you are going to have a pretty sweet little setup here soon.

Suggestion you will pick up anyways after lerking here for awhile. Take a look at the Harborfreight US General tool box. You will find it is constructed better and cheaper then the Craftsman boxes are SEVERAL members here have them and love them. Wish I knew about them before I bought my ********* craftsman griplatch.

Crazy amount of space. I would use that single car either for parking only or for storage only, but that's just my idea. Really wish I had my shed back...

Of course I just missed the parking lot sale at HF!!:lol_hitti

For now my 17 year old will be using that to park in. I am planning to put some ceiling storage in there for bulky stuff like holiday decorations. Eventually, the casita along with the attached garage will become a man cave. :thumbup:

Ahh, thanks for clarifying that.

Perfect layout as wifey gets one spot and then you have the buffer between hers and your three car hehe.

I know it literally means little house, but what is the purpose of the casita? We build things differently here in NC, but I'm assuming that it is akin to the smaller lawnmower/storage garages that builders put on the backs or sides of houses around here (typically in basements). I've never seen one on the front of a house and I've never heard them referred to casitas. I assume it's done that way in your case bc there is no access to the backyard.

Nice place, however.

It's more like an attached guest suite. This one has a bedroom w/ kitchenette, walk in closet and bathroom plus the garage. I have 12' gates on both sides so I've got access but with it on the front it makes a courtyard with the main house.

Wow, it's been awhile and I guess I forgot about this thread. I've got a few pics of the finished garage and yard:

Thanks guys. That open space in the last pic is where I keep the truck and trailer. It's nice to not have to store it off site.
