I bought some replacement sheetmetal for a 1960 Eldorado that we're restoring at work. New rockers, a trunk floor and more are made by a place called Classic2Current in Detroit. Rock Auto not only beat the prices C2C was willing to give me as a shop on the phone, RA had a lower shipping charge. After the 5% deal, my $850 "phoned in" order was $700 instead, and drop shipped from C2C.

Someone wasn't thinking there.

yeah, i buy a lot from them, but shipping ain't cheap, so 5% helps. if i can get it from amazon it ships free, and for big heavy stuff it can make a big difference.

I agree. I always use the 5 off coupon. Usually I only buy multiple items at a time to save on shipping. Very rarely I end up using a coupon from advanced auto and get it cheaper because of shipping
