If nothing else get the U-joint set. They are spring loaded and will hold the socket up till you get it to where you need it. Well worth the money.

The ratchets are nice too.

I just ordered some using a free $10 gift card I had laying around. I figure they're worth the $14 I spent

I bought the ratchets, 5 adapter pack and the superman 3 pack. I have the 1/2 inch metric socket set from a previous sale. I really like them. I wish Triangle would come out with deep sockets

Looking, thanks for the heads up on the Triangle ratchets, extension, and U-joint sets. Plan on going by my local Sears and placing an order in the morning. Picked up the 1/4" drive set and ratchet drive adapters when they were previously on special. Really impressed with the quality and finish of the 1/4" set.

Thanks for the heads up. I also like the Triangle sets I got through the earlier deals and had $7.50 in bonus that was about to expire. In for a set of the ratchets!

This may be a stupid question, but are these interchangeable with other brands? Can I use the u joints with craftsman sockets?

I suggest you guys lube the ratchets since they ship dry. They are decent ratchets... The winners are the sockets though... I put them through good use and they held up fine. The identification strips/"knurling" on the sockets work well for grip as well.

Would anyone be interested in the 1/4" ratchet only? I already have a 1/4" triangle set I bought a while back so I don't need another ratchet. I only want the 3/8".

what do you lube it with, grease wd-40, airtool oil ... and have to open the ratchet to expose the teeth and gear?

I oiled mine when I took it apart to see what the guts looked like. I just used some 3in1 oil. It has a spiral retained ring to hold everything together. Work a small pick or screwdriver around it to remove it and everything falls out in one piece. Its all detailed in the directions.

The U-joints actually come with extra springs in case you manage to break one so they are serviceable. Directions for this also come with the set.

I really want those ratchets but I need them like a hole in my head.

Those extensions looks great though, and the fact that they have measurements on them is a nice feature.

the nano ratchet. mmmmmhhhhhh

i have a 3/8 and it is nothing special.

the gearwrench 120xp is a far better ratchet. less back drag, smaller head, nicer finish.

Definitely not "reduced 4 Labor Day".

Sears has been clearing out the Triangle stuff for a while. Nice tools, but I'm guessing the COO didn't help their chances of being taken seriously.

They were an unknown brand in the US that Sears carried but never promoted. If Sears had pushed their products they might of done better in the States. It didn't help that they were a little spendy at regular price.

I never heard of them until they went on closeout at Sears and were then reviewed here. They also offer all three drive sizes of ratchets inn black hard handles. I ordered them from Triangle in Taiwan. I like them better than the smooth handle but they aren't at closeout pricing by any means.

The ratchets have been on a closeout, priced at just under $30 for some time. The u-joints & extensions were just a couple bucks off full price before Labor Day sale prices. I don't believe they were on closeout.

Will see if prices move back up in the next day or 2.

They offer a pretty limited range as well(no deep sockets). I do love the finish on the sockets I have from them. I have only tested one hard so far.

There COO is an improvement over what Sears has with there Craftsman brand.

Just noticed the Triangle website has a link to an online store.
Notice that they chose the German flag over the Taiwan flag?

Yeah, the u-joints & extensions were only recently added to Clearance.

Oh, I just realized the site is displaying the newer webpage format in your links.
I have a trick that lets me view the "classic" format, so I can see the "Clearance" tags for the products.

Plus, the GearWrench brand seems to have originally built it's reputation with a Taiwan COO.

Received my order yesterday. I love the packaging on everything. These ratchets are heavy. I really like the feel though. I will be putting one of the adaptors to work right away since I broke a craftsman recently and havent w a rrantied it

My thoughts. Not worth much but ill share.

Packaging was well designed, overall fit and finish is great for price range, I agree with the comment above that the gear wrench have nicer action ect. Universals are conceptually great, however I never recall struggling with my traditional universals. Overall a very nicely designed set products that certainly has some unique qualities over its competitors, however, they could improve the action of the ratchet for my taste.

I cannot attest to quality as I have yet to put them to work.
