Welcome to GJ.

If you have questions, somebody here probably has an answer. I see you already added your location to your profile, smart move. If you have a question that may be hard to understand, add a picture to your post, it's worth a thousand words.

So that being said, how about a picture of the house/garage ?

Welcome to GJ! We're in the middle of house hunting ourselves. We *might* have a chance to pick up a 16+ acre place with a 3-bay garage with up and downstairs shop. Real estate agent contacted us yesterday and said the buyer ahead of us may not be able to get it, so they asked us to put in a backup bid. Hope it works out.

Congrats again on the new place - Pics or it didn't happen!

Beware....before long this place will infect you with the desire to buy every tool you see and you will want a very big shop behind the house

Run!!!

Today you probably own 2-3 pliers and maybe 4-5 screwdrivers and have managed just fine with that set up for many years.

6 months from now you will have a dedicated drawer just for your screwdrivers (in every size available) and will most likely be hoarding multiple Channel lock pliers too.

Oh I am familer with tool-buying-ridiculous syndrome, this was my garage when I lived in Phoenix and this is my tool box at work. Both about to bust at the seams. But I also still have a wish list a mile long welder, air compressor etc etc now that I will soon have a bigger garage. Small goldfish bigger bowl watch me grow!!!

As a former C130 mechanic a LONG time ago in another life & the owner of an old Harley I have to warn you... these guys are a rough bunch. You'll figure out real quick who is to be avoided.. Just kidding. Welcome ! Would you happen to know what the statute of limitations is on a pair of safety wire pliers stolen from the government in 1975 ?

The only 'issue' (note how I didn't say 'problem') with MORE tools, is space..... You put a welder, compressor, some parts, jacks, rollers and more in your shop and you'll want and NEEED bigger.....but you can only go so big.... as CAR CRAFT said of my shop....
