Small SCORE yesterday!

This is a crazy story first. I noticed on a facebook sale site that a lady had some nice kitchen cabinets (35" tall x 24" wide x 20" deep) for FREE. There was a tall cabinet I didn't want and a TV. The person who posted said "First Come First Serve" and a lady said she was on her way. The lady who was on her way lived 15 min away so I called my gf at home and we live just a few blocks away from lady giving them away. I told my gf to get there and pull the 3 cabinets over to the car to hold them until I get there with the truck. Well the lady showed up right after my gf got there (my gf took her damn time) and my gf already had 1 cabinet pulled over to our and the lady took the tall cabinet as my gf pulled the 2nd cabinet over. After the lady loaded the tall cabinet into her truck, she grabbed the doors to the third cabinet (which were off) and my gf hurry up and snagged the cabinet that goes with those doors. The lady yelled at my gf that she had the doors and the cabinet was hers. My gf said, "I was taking all 3."

This is the funny part... The lady looked at my gf said (with an attitude) "have fun with a cabinet with no shelves."

my gf laughed out loud and said "Seriously? You have doors and no cabinet, hows that going to work out for ya."

HAHAHAHAHAHA

While my gf was moving the 2nd cabinet over to the car, she dropped it on her foot and it blew up like a softball was trying to come out of her foot, lol. her foot is doing ok! nothing major is wrong with it.

Very light water damage on the bottom under the doors. Inside the cabinets are perfectly fine. I will clean off any mold and paint them white anyways so any water damage will not be shown. You can see the one missing the doors. That wont be an issue as I will use it as the canter cabinet and cut open the bottom so I can sit and have room for my legs. So it worked out perfect! These are going to go in my basement as a workbench with a countertop I took from work. also shown below.

Nice. Some of my garage cabinets are ones the home's previous owner put in the garage after a kitchen revovation. They are nice and sturdy. I really need to paint them, because they look like...dated kitchen cabinets.

Sorry, "first come first serve" doesnt mean race to get there except to folks like yourself. To those of us with a bit of decency and common courtesy it means the PO isnt holding items/waiting days.

Yah the house they came from they had everything updated and they are the type of people who always have to have the best. Any little thing that gets any sort of damage gets replaced. My gf's family knows the people I found out later. So they were fairly new cabinets from their finished basement. We just had a nasty storm and city drainage backed up bad so that's prolly how they got the slight water damage at the bottom.

This chick seen my girlfriend already had 2 of the 3 matching cabinets. If she wanted to cabinets, she should've grabbed the cabinet not the doors... and she did that to her foot before any of the confrontation so it had nothing to do with it!

Jarhead, it was first come first serve. Nothing wrong was done. Ive been beat out of getting something b/c someone lived closer and I had driven almost 45 minutes. Its part of the game. She even posted that she really wanted the tall cabinet so I told me girlfriend not to grab the tall one. So I was nice.
