Moving into a new rent house today, instead of living in my apartment. And, one of my search criterion was it must have a garage! Its nothing too extraordinary, but it will be nice, instead of wrenching in the heat! Its half full of stuff, that I need to move into the house right now, but that won't take me long. Then I need to organize my stuff, and start building welder/plasma carts, a welding table, etc.

Has a leave-out up front where the washer/dryer go. I'm going to leave them stacked, to leave myself room to keep a 44" HF toolbox up there too.


I'll post some more, better, pictures, once I start getting it laid out, and my project truck rolled in.

Are the mechanicals behind the "short" doors?

I spent a total of 40 years in the Army and working as a civilian for the Air Force. Never had a real opportunity to put down roots and have a shop/garage that I could really enjoy. Your a lucky GI Joe.

One short door is the AC. The other is the water heater. I can't enjoy this one as much as I wish, since I don't own it... but it is definitely a step up from wrenching in the dirt!

Already started getting my tools squared away where I want them. That is definitely priority over putting my bed together, putting my clothes away, putting my dishes away, etc.

Having a garage was always a must when i was stationed in norfolk. Even with it being a rental it is still a garage.

Well, the garage is pretty damn full now. Got my project in full swing. Need to clean up the mess I made from when I moved it in.

1969 ford f100 on a 1979 4x4 frame. 460/c6/np203/np205. Dana 60 front, sterling rear. 5.13s, detroit lockers. 3 link and 16" swayaway coilovers up front. 4 link with 14" swayaways in the rear. PSC full hydro steering with a double ended ram. Will probably put it on propane. 42" pitbull rockers for tires.


Basically.... nothing special.

Since I know some of you guys are curious...


Shooting for at least one small thing everyday. Today, I got the lower link brackets drilled out to the proper bolt hole size, and got them tacked in place. Going for the upper link tomorrow.

More updates. Bought myself a Lincoln 180HD from Lowe's and 10 lbs of fluxcore wire. Was putting it to good use, until I have to fly to tennessee for work. When I get home, I need to pick up some 1/8" plate to build a frame side trackbar bracket, then I can mount my bumpstops, and start working on the rear axle.
