hai folks
i'm new here, need some information

it is Hazet 916-1 strong enough ? i'm not a breaker bar fan ( dont argue about how suppose to be to use a ratchet ) so the ratchet must be very strong. and im going to use it everyday and abuse it :p
here in Indonesia warranty is almost impossible, better to get a tools that gonna work for decade.
Does it handle made by rubber or plastic ( soft or hard like Facom one ) ?

i'm Facom fan
but the pear head Facom is Taiwan COO, that is push me down :eyecrazy:
since i have good experience with Germany made tools ( i have and still use Dowidat ratchet from the '90 and it is a bad *** ) another Germany made suppose to be the same :p. i think now would be a good time to move from the France side to Germany side

thanks

I would think that if a Hazet isn't strong enough, then what is???
Still, I would say that the 916-SP is the stronger one.

By the way the Facom palm control ratchets are still made in Italy by USAG. Only the pear heads are made in Taiwan.

Why do you think 916-sp is stronger?any relation with the number of tooth?

Indeed, Facom palm control madein Italy
I really like this one except it handle, mostly when grease stuck between the gap

Yes, exactly. The 916-SP is a lower tooth count and a design similar to Snap-On.
The 916-1 is a fine tooth round-head design.

I just now Googled both of those part numbers. I don't like the looks of the handle on that 916-1. The 916-SP looks like is has a much more comfortable handle.

I think the handle of the 916 SP is not so much comfortable. The 916-1 handle is not as "uncomfortable" as it may look....

The 916-1 ratchet handle reminds me of the shape of a Craftsman raised panel ratchet handle:
