Hi all, was on the truck the other day and was asking the driver if the older torque wrench was on sale since they came out with a new one, was looking for the atech2fr100a to be exact, said he didnt have any left but had the new atech2fr100b on there, and was currently $100 off. Anyone ever have any problems with their snap on torque wrench? Have a feeling I wont be able to get it that cheap again for awhile so might have to snag it up.

I don't have the new torque to angle digital Snap-On but have the older Snap-On Techwrench and it works great. My only complaint is that it eats batteries a little faster than I would like. I really don't know why because once it is off it should be off. I have found that when I complete a job where I am using it, I simply remove the batteries and place them in the small molded groove in the box. I then reinstall them upon next time of using it. It is not that big of a deal but it sure helps the batteries last longer. I have wanted to get the new Snap-On torque angle wrench but haven't snagged one yet.

A little off topic but how are these electronic wrenches better than the click style torque wrenches?

In my opinion only benefit is the torque angle feature. I use my click type if i dont have torque to yield bolts. Im kinda old school. Just sent all my clickers out for calibration. The new tech angle wrench is sweet. Probably gonna upgrade both my 3/8 and 1/2 tech angles to the new ones.

Correct. I think I jumped the gun on my earlier purchase Snap-On. It is a great torque wrench, however, I should have held out for the torque to yield one. I generally use my old click style and just have them recalibrated every several years.
