Hello!

I'm a guy who has been involved in motorsports all of his life. My parents met at a sports car race in 1953. I started working on race cars as a small child. And started helping my folks work as race officials around the same time.

My occupation is Fabricator. And no, that doesn't mean that I create lies.

The largest home garage I've had was 1,800 square feet. Slow economy means I don't own that anymore. But that doesn't mean I won't own another. When I was a little kid, my grandparents built a cabin in the mountains. Originally, access to the place was through an old 1800s vintage ranch. The owners were in their 90s and I used to hike the mile over to visit them whenever I was around there. The place had a barn which wasn't used for horses or other cattle anymore. Since then it's been my dream to have a garage built much like that barn. It would look similar and be about the same size. But it would be built to house and work on cars and such.

I've worked on a wide variety of motorsports in my time. Sometimes for a living, sometimes for a hobby. Hot Rods, salt flat racers, road racers,
off road race trucks and buggies, Baja Bugs, dirt bikes, trailers for cars, Muscle Cars, etc., etc., etc. ...

What's really rather odd is that the 1st 2 responses to my thread are both from OZ! I had a brother-in-law from NZed and have another from Perth.

HOTFR8T We DO have Falcons in common. And I could have had a 49 F1 heirloom from my grandfather, but had way too many projects already, including pickup trucks.

Would be time frame here with the forum that give you the Aussie welcomes first.

As for the Falcons our Aussie versions deviated from the US design after the introduction here in 1960 in fact the Ford will retire the Falcon name in 2016 when they cease production here.
