I got back from a class yesterday and had a few things waiting for me. One of which was my 3 piece long nose pliers set listed in the Craftsman Holiday flyer. On inspection, they're not bad. They're the usual Craftsman Pro type plier made by Western Forge. They seem pretty stout. They have the Craftsman soft grip handle and will be useful when you need a longer nose plier. I wouldn't pay list for them but, if you get gift cards, free shipping and a sale, they would make a nice addition. Your results may vary.

I got mine about a week ago. The process was painful though. When I ordered them, the website was incorrect so I received the wrong set. I had to contact Sears.com because of the price difference between catalog/website. They did credit me though. Sear.com told me to return them to the store. The store credited me the full amount on a gift card, but I didn't realize this till I got home. So while I'm in the store, they called Sears.com to reorder the set and correct the website. The lady I spoke with placed the new order and again gave me the catalog price. This process took around 45 minutes. I get home, check the email confirmation and sure enough, it's the wrong set again. Another call to Sears.com to cancel it and order the correct one. The next day I get email confirmations that both sets have shipped. The day before they arrive Sears.com charges me for the canceled set and sends an email telling me to reject the package or return to Sears store. I can't reject the package because it was delivered to my work and I didn't know which box it was in. So back to the store to return them. This time they refund the website price to my credit card. All in all they ended up paying me $20. Normally I'd let them know about the excess $$, but they wasted so much of my time and gas driving to the store exchanging their screw ups that I just decided to say screw it and kept it. I'll end up using that money on additional Craftsman tools anyways. Sears.com is the reason I wish everything was carried in the stores.

On the other hand the set is nice. I haven't used them yet, but they will come in handy someday.

Thanks for the picts. They look pretty nice. I remember Stuey posted about these. How much did you end up spending?

Looks like the first 2 pliers have parallel jaws, but not the one on the right.

Do they have a black finish, or is that just the pict?

I really I don't want to want these, but I think I do now

All jaws are parallel. The smaller water pump type pliers on the right have three adjustments and the others have two. The pliers have that laquered natural steel finish on the outside and are black on the inside. It probably doesn't show well in the picture. A few weeks back Sears had online only tools on sale along with other brand stuff and free shipping, and someone posted a coupon code so, I got the set for $40. As I have posted before, no tool from Sears (or any where else for that matter) is worth paying list price for (unless you need it in an emergency). I'm a sucker for new tools. These pliers do not have fine point jaws. The jaws narrow to about 3/16 maybe and are serrated. I think they would be handy if you needed beefier narrow jawed pliers. Your results may vary.

Thanks for the photos! The jaws appeared to be a bit more serrated in the photos. I was really eager to wait for another sale to pick these up, but they don't look as exceptionally suited for my uses as I anticipated, so I might pass. If they're sold individually, I won't hesitate about picking up one or two of the styles.
