Calling all bodymen...

I am currently taking classes for autobody and plan on making it my career.

Our school has tons of equiptment and tools for us to use and a massive tool list.

My question to you is, what tools will I REALLY need to start in a shop?
Which brands are best?

I already purchased a Martin body hammer and dolly set.

Ive seen the martin kit and it looks good. I bought a snap-on body hammer years ago and it's the most expensive back scratcher I've ever bought
yer gonna need a good set of wrenches and ratchets/sockets. if yer goin into bodywork now youlle need metric more than anything. sure you wanna repair stuff like fenders, but the way the business is now you'll replace one if its got more than 4 or 5 "hours" of damage.
youlle want pneumatic sanders and grinders.
and pneumatic ratchets

I like my National Detroit DA, Mac 1/4 air ratchet with the flat offset head, ridged 3m yellow sanding blocks, durablock set, Mac air hammer just to name a few. If you look around here and to a simple search I am sure you could find a lot more

Too soon to know for sure. I will probably end up working collision repair, and doing refinishing and restoring as a hobby
