Great deal. It looks really nice. Was that a garage sale or something?

Thanks. A little 2nd hand shop put an ad in Craig's List for a vise. I went to look at it and she showed me Vise Grips. Not really what I was expecting so I passed but looked on their tool shelf. I had to remove some rust from the head and sanded/stained/clear-coated the handle. Turned out nice and it's a keeper so I'm glad I went.

Just got myself this awesome socket set, wanted a 1/2 drive set but did not have the cash to go out and buy a quality new one. Picked up this awesome old Britool set. It is a mixed set one half Whitworth and the other half SAE

:lol_hitti Nice, guess that is the good old door closed, window open saying. Vise grip = vise :headscrat O well, really nice hammer for $2, heck you can't even find a handle for that these days. What did you use to clear the handle with?

Snappy guy got me again today...CT8810O (gave me what I paid for the 4410 on trade), SAE nut drivers(on sale) and the 6 & 7mm ratcheting reversible wrenches (free!). Grabbed a couple wrench racks as well that didn't make it into the picture.
Also received a Fluke 113 meter in the mail that member Jeff Moss was kind enough to grab at his local Lowes (IIRC) for me when they were clearing them out. Thanks again Jeff!

The Snap-on nut drivers are nice and colorful.

Well isn't that the 1st feature you look for in a set of nut drivers? :lol_hitti One thing I really like about my craftsman set is the grey = metric clear = SAE. Can tell real quick which one I have in my hand.

Picked up the harbor freight low profile jack. Went to use a 20% off coupon to realize I can't use it on a jack

Good thing the cashier liked me. She went in manually and took $28 off my tab.

What do you think of the jack so far? Ive been looking for one for one of my trucks when i cant fit one of my regular jacks. Reviews look pretty good on them but i dont know anyone with one to go try it

I haven't used it yet. My initial impressions are great. Looks and feels very sturdy. Has a quick pump and lifts 24"

It's a heavy sob compared to my craftsman aluminum jack. They have another model that's got an 1/8" higher cradle height than this which is lighter but it's reach is about 6-7" shorter.

My car is pretty low so I wanted the longest lowest reach possible

Just picked these up off CL from a guy for $180, he was like a Snap On dealer driving a car, going to be checking out the rest of his stash, he had about 5 of the SL80A and 3 or 4 of the F80 lol.

These are on clearance right now at my local Menards for 89 dollars and change. I was in the market for a driver and compared them all to Snap On's CTS661 model which is what I wanted off the truck. The Bosch won out on everything, plus it has normal controls on it. I guess now I will see if it holds up as long as some of the other SO's in the shop.

Some stuff from Menards - 11mm & 19mm deep (needed a 3/4 deep, but they didn't have a 'peg' for 3/4 deep) 3/8 drive sockets, and a pair of Stanley pliers marked down to $2.

nice pick, i've got two of them and they are great for working with twisted pair cable. i picked up a new klein curve cutter a while back which is a little bit more sophisticated but i still can't bring myself to part with my old ideals. i just use whichever one is in easiest reach at any given time.

a few more dies for my crimpmaster arrived yesterday. one for crimping F-connectors on coax for CATV, another for crimping the little pins used in D-sub connectors. i'm looking forward to finally being able to dump the natty old rat shack tool i've kept around for that purpose for so long!
