Sounds like a great sized garage. I'm hoping to do the same type of thing but only 40 feet long, so maybe only a 24' garage section and a 16' back section. Congrats on the start!

looks great! great progress for the weekend I'd say!

i love the 3 single garage door look and function, what size garage doors are you using? 9'? I want to do the same thing and i was wondering if the spacing between doors and cars is enough. Do you have the dimensions of the front to post or send to me? If you are using 9' doors is 1' 3" between walls and doors really enough? maybe they are 8' doors and 2' 8' between? :dunno: ok i'll let you just tell me. Thanks

It is two 8x8, and one 9x8 Center door.

Kevin54,

The requirments here on a mono slab is 8 inch above ground, when driveway gets poured and leveled out you wont tell...Brick will run to ground as well.

It took 4 trucks of cement to pour that slab, i came out close to 8 an half inch so, it should make for solid floor over the years.

.

The reason I ask is that around my area, wherever concrete is poured, the sod HAS to be stripped off before concrete is poured. One reason is that it will start decaying underneath leaving voids. I've never saw or ever heard of someone pouring directly over sod. Different locations, different rules I guess.

For the most part grass was removed, but you are correct, some area's did remain.

They also use wire in the concrete for the length of the slab, so hopefully that should help with the voids.

Thanks all,...

If you look at some of the slab pictures, you will see they leave a lip around the bottom, this is where the brick start and works its way up.

They actually cover some on the front when pouring concrete lip...

No problem at all...Do you have any good suggestions for carpet.

• I know I want something to take high traffic, but I also don’t want a thick underlayment that makes playing the drums feel unstable and bouncy under kick drum pedals.
• Also, any good wall hanging stuff to cut down Live sound of room…I have been surfing some sites.
