Hey guys, so I'm thinking about buying a set of metric wrenches, I like Williams tools so I looked at what they have and I noticed they have a USA set and an imported set, I have an older SAE set that's USA and I really like them but the imported ones look more like the ones I have than the USA, I don't really like how the USA ones look, do any of you know how different they are as far as quality? I'm pretty sure the Imported ones are just rebadged Blue Points. Thanks.

My understanding is that the import Williams are exactly the same as the Blue Points. I can't recommend an import wrench set over a USA made set though. Go USA made.

Yea, u guys are right, ima go with the usa ones, I've been doing research and some people really like them, I love the ones I have, so I might even sell some of my snap on ones and get both metric and sae super combos

I have the supercombos which have been rebranded for CAT and they are excellent. I think you will be very happy with your purchase.

I've held SO hand in hand with My Supercombos. I like the Flank drive plus aggressiveness but I appreciated the Williams girth more. It makes the wrench a pleasure to use.
Plus the Williams open-end is just right, not too aggressive but still holds a fastener really well.

I have some snap on wrenches and I actually enjoy using the older Williams I have better, they just feel more comfortable and solid, if I could find the rest of the set I would buy it but I cant find them anywhere. I have from 7/8 to 1 1/8 so I would need to find 3/8-13/16:dunno:

The USA made williams are incredible wrenches and they are made on the same line as USA snap on but the in hand feel is far superior to me than the snap on equivalent.

Someone tested the hardness and the Williams are slightly inferior to Snap-On actually. Not that you'd notice in use.

I also noticed Snap-On beefed up their wrench beams again over the last few years. Just got a set of 2013 manufacture and the beams are pretty meaty.

Yeah they look like they'd be real comfortable. I look forward to the day I get my hands on one.

Well that is very interesting and is a bit of a bummer but I sure love those wrenches and will continue to add the larger wrenches I do not have.

the box end is just horrible the worst part is the lack of chamfer on the openings also the broaching is crappy and seems to be at less of an angle than the wrenches have been bent to

if you zoom in on the pics at amazon you can you can sort of see what I'm talking about but just think that is a stock photo so its the best they could make them look and the crappiness still shows in person they are so ****** that it makes me laugh

Wiliams imports are exactly the same as blue points. They are good for light use ur back up wrenches but for everyday use they are junk. The open ends spread easily and if extreme pressure is used they will slip. Just **** imho. Honestly us craftsmans are better. If u want gd wrenchs buy the super combos. Or buy snap-on.
