No real stellar deals, pretty much the same as the sidewalk sales, though a few items are few bucks off. Nothing to make me want to make a special trip.

That said, right angle grinders for $9.99 are always good. I like to have several so I have grinders with cutoff wheels, grinding wheels, and flap wheels mounted so I don't have to keep swapping discs.

Looks like same-old-same-old from HF.

Exactly... Not worth fighting the crowds and craziness that is Black Friday. It seems like BF sales are getting crappier every single year. I'm actually kind of glad I'll be working it this year... That way I won't even be tempted to go out and be in the crowds of people looking to save a few measly bucks!

Harbor Freight Black Friday 2013 Ad Released

Harbor Freight Black Friday Ad We just posted the 42-item Harbor Freight Black Friday sale listing along with the 4-page Harbor Freight advertisement scans.

If this ad looks a little familiar, that's because Harbor Freight's Black Friday 2013 ad heavily borrows from their 2012 ad. By our count, there are only nine different items contained in the 2013 ad that were not present in last year's Black Friday ad. There are even some items that have been featured since their Black Friday 2010 ad!

Given Harbor Freight's lack of creativity in the Black Friday ad department, it is of little surprise that their sale starts at 7am on Black Friday - with Inside Track Club members being able to enter the store an hour early.

That's probably why HF is the first store to get the BF add out. Because of the lack of creativity. Just throw a handful of recycled deals on the newsprint and call it a day.

They never really have a crowd on BF last year they had just about everything on the ad in stock at 5 pm when I drove over there. The tool cart isn't bad, for that price, lowest coupon I've seen was for 149.99. Funny thing is I saw a review on Youtube in which the guy reviewing it said he got it for 99 dollars. I Think it was 2008 video. If it was lower I would buy it and slide it under my work bench, I only have 33 inches of clearance.

Yes, Yes, and as far as I can tell. They have them for $9.99 in practically every other add. I've never tested mine, but they seem to get a lot of decent reviews from people who do. If were building engines I'd want something better, but for my limited use they suffice.

Living in quiet rural Missouri.
i stopped in a HF store in st louis area several months ago to stretch my legs during a roadtrip from nashville to kc.
i told the guy in the store i had a 20percent off coupon at home near KC (which was a lie). he ended up selling me the 5 drawer cart for 159 plus tax.

The usual from HF. Everything's so cheap all year long that they can't really do more than a buck or so extra off for Black Friday.

Nothing I want here.

I have the 1/4" and the 3/8" ones. They work pretty well. Just remember to store them with the tension off the spring (lowest lb/ft setting possible) as I've read a few folks say that storing them with too much tension can cause the spring to start to wear out, leading to inaccuracy.

I have all 3 sizes of torque wrench. 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. They are shipped dry inside. So the first thing I did was open up the ratchet heads and lube them with some SuperLube (also available at HF). When you lube the ratchet heads, they are much smoother.

No need to wait for BF for that.
Here is a scan of that coupon up in the coupon thread.

I might order online.. but I refuse to "shop" on that day.

Especially with companies that are opening on Thanksgiving.

No thanks guys.. 8pm on thanksgiving, yep, don't care.. the store needs to stay closed.

I'm with you, I've never seen a Black Friday deal that would lure me out on Thanksgiving, some things are more important than money.

HF's coupon prices are already pretty low - don't know how much more they could cut the price of most stuff and still make a profit when you include their shipping costs, store overhead, free items, etc.

As far as BF in general, I got some BF deals online last year, including my 18v Craftsman drill/driver - beats the hell out of fighting the crowds.

I have a job where we sometimes work long hours when we are on the critical path of a big project. But generally the holidays are left open, because there isn't a reason to schedule a crisis during traditional family time.

Black Friday was reasonable when stores opened at their normal time. But you have to be a uncaring b*astard to keep moving the opening time up an hour before the other stores. And to move it to Thursday night... wow.

I consider online sales differently. Sure, you need the IT staff on call, but there is a least a chance that things will go smoothly and not too many people will be working when they should be in a turkey coma with a recap of the bowl games playing in the background.

I sometimes will go out on Black Friday to people watch. It's also a good day to give back to the community in little ways- I carry a portable jump box to handle dead batteries and have the tools to open locked car doors (leftover when I did it with the local PD). A little help on a stressful day can make a huge difference for someone.

I'm planning to get the 50' retractable hose reel. I currently have the 25' which is quite short for simple task such as pumping tires up.
