My neighbor had a garage sale today and had some metric long pattern husky combo wrenches for sale. I snatched them up real quick because you can't hardly find these any more, especially in excellent condition like these are. I don't really need them as I have enough wrenches so I figured I could either piece them out or sell them as a set. What do you guys think? They are 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19.

Anyone know who made the older USA made Husky tools? I remember them back in the day and remember them looking decent.

they were made by stanley. some have said that they are rebranded proto/blackhawk but i'm not able to confirm. i got my set in the 90's when they were advertising that they were better than craftsman. they had a promo where they would exchange a craftsman tool for the like husky version. at that time, i don't remember craftsman having a full polished long pattern combo wrench so i was tickled shitless to obtain the husky's for an even swap. still very happy with my set after all these years. they have a very nice balance, nice weight, and they make that nice ring when you tap them so you know that they were made of good materials and heat treated properly.

They're gonna be great until you snap one and have to have it replaced with a chinese made husky. Nah, I'm just joking. Even the chinese or taiwanese made husky tools are decent. It is what it is.

You can sell them but people don't really pay much for husky tools even the us made ones. You can probably get 15 bucks for them pretty easily though. That's not an offer.

Don't tell me you paid more than 10 bucks for these.

Yeah, maybe $11.50. After all, these things snap right and left. Perhaps I should hold on to them for back ups to the set that I've used hard for the last 20 years. I mean, one could go at any moment!:rolleyes2

Nice score . . . . nothing wrong with shiny wrenches !!

Those will give a lifetime of service and never need replaced unless you try to use one as a crowbar !! ;)

Thanks. Yes, they are durable wrenches. Mine have served me well for 20 years. I have used my set doubled up before I knew that was considered abuse, but they've held up fine. LOL. This set is different from mine though. My set has the size stamped on the head of the open end and this set does not. Obviously made in two different factories. Wish I could find more info about these wrenches.

I have a older set of Husky wrenches. How can I tell where they are made?
It does not indicate on wrenches or socket

So I have a question. I just bought a 15 piece set sae 1/4" to 1-1/4" polished just like yours. I paid $35 to a guy off craigslist, was that a good deal?
There's not much for sale on ebay to compare to. And not a lot of info on the web either.:dunno:

In my opinion if they are USA made it's a great deal. If they are import so-so deal.
