Snap on tool cabinet on CL

Without insulting him, what would be a fair price for this cabinet? I couldn't find this model on the snap on retail site. I did see rollers for 2k though.

He just says make an offer.

Ok. I saw a cabinet that said series 78 on snap on website. They go for 4k new.

I'm not familiar with the newer boxes. I'd try to match the drawer layout and not pay attention to the images on the front. Then after you determine the model, subtract value for the image graphics

It looks like it might be a KRL761. The replacement for that box is the current KRL722.

In my area the 2 and 3 bays aren't selling 2k is fair but i think you should get a work surface at that price. The paint means nothing, check to see how many double slides drawers there are if it is just the top it is worth 1500-1800 IMO. It doesn't even have spring loaded casters. If he tells you that its limited due to the graphics just tell him he paid for overpriced stickers even if you do like them.

I would go with a kr1000 for the money though they typically cost between 900 to 1100 all day, and they hold their value when bought used.

Yeah...the stickers/graphics are just plain dumb...He says that he thinks 2500 is fair...pffft...I'm looking somewhere else. If I offer 1K, I'm sure he wouldn't take it so I didn't bother.

glad you have some sense, the cheapest i have seen that box go for is 1200, not likely going to see that anytime soon. I you wait and wait and wait you should be able to pick up a older three bay for 2000.
