That is a goldmine!

Unfortunately for everyone it appears that he has price tags on alot of the stuff meaning he is probably running a store out of his barn and knows his stuff. Most likely not going to be any great deals coming out of there.

Also watch out- it looks like a lot of those anvils are cast-iron Vulcans. They have a hard top face (very thin plate) so they're not unusable, but they're also no Peter Wright or Fisher.

Doc.

Agreed, I saw that the other day and did not bother. There are places up here that know tourists and collectors bring $$.

Nothing wrong with a guy trying to make a living. Just means you won't get you **** prices from him. He did all the legwork to assembled the inventory and no doubt has hundreds if not thousands of hours first learning the business and then finding and buying the inventory. I know how much effort I put into buying and selling tools and I never feel bad about the profit I make.

That is quite a collection and if he has that one piece you need to finish your collection, then you will gladly pay the price.

+1

I'm with you, that is an investment, possibly his retirement. He had foresight enough to know what kind of precious metals to invest in!

I'd be willing to bet you're wrong on a lot of those being Vulcans. What are you seeing that makes you come to that conclusion?

I did not criticize the guy (and fail to see anywhere that someone has so far), only meant that I am not willing to pay collector or tourist prices. I don't care what the guy charges or what someone pays.
