In my mind spam is **** that's completely unrelated to why we're here. If someone had a thread about garage floors and a company guy replied with a link to garage floor stuff I don't think I would call that spam. Look at it this way. You start a thread asking for advice on light bulbs. If I respond and say I've had good luck with Westinghouse that's fine but if a Westinghouse rep responds is it spam ? If someone responds with an ad for toenail fungus cream that's spam. There's a huge difference in my book but that's just me.

In my review (http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=220620) jameschurchil's ONLY post is pushing an epoxy concrete repair product.

join date: oct 2013
only post: oct 30 2013
content: pushing a product

Smells fishy.

So why have you not reported it the correct way ?

This is what should be done.

I'll remove the post considering it looks to be out of place as a response.

yea...the report button...doh! 'elderly moment' of the week. I'm used to modding/admining on other forums (and most of the reported posts there are just disagreeing with the other party) so I don't have to go through the 'process'.

If I were asking for advice on how to fix anything or just showing off my stuff, I'd agree that it's appropriate but since the content of my post was a review of rocksolid and commentary on it's features/drawbacks, this persons (apparent) creation of an account just to push a product without ANY other introduction, commentary, or content is fishy to me.
