I have a few old brass pressure gauges and a couple old brass oiler's that I have restored. Just wondering if anyone else has a passion for these old USA made gauges and oiler's. I'm always looking for more if any one wants to part with them.

Not a collector but I recently installed a few temp gauges on my BUFORD steampunk smoker;

If they don't have screws how do you pry off the bezels without doing damage?

I use WD-40 and then just keep tapping with a rubber mallet around the rim. They will usually come off pretty easy unless painted then I use Aircraft Paint remover. I am doing one now that had several coats of paint on it. Once the paint is softened the bezel came right off. This one is not the bourdon tube style it has a round bellows in a chamber right under the gauge. I'll post a pic when done.

I might be able to get a couple oilers and gauges. I work in a power plant that was built in the 1920s. We recently retired our old coal plant on property and I know that there are definitely some over there. I need to see for sure and get the bosses permission to remove them. Ill get pictures if they are still there and you can let me know if you are interested. I am from PA .
