Any cheaper cooling system adapters besides the rubber ones?

I have a stant cooling system pressure tester along with a few adapters I've acquired over the years. I now need another one and hesitate to spend another 40 bucks. I've tried the universal rubber bladder ones and the rubber eventually broke. So I don't want another universal rubber bladder style. I also would like to stick with the stant style and not get another whole tester setup. But is there anything cheaper then 40 bucks and up for the stant adapters?

I'm just a home mechanic so my tools don't make me money. They do save me money by doing my own repairs so I don't mind spending money on them but at the same time things like these adapters don't get much use so the cost adds up fast for things that just sit on the shelf!

I know that AST makes adapters but they seem to be the same price. The used market is pretty scarce and most of the ones I find the sellers want almost as much as new. Any other brands or options for poor guys like me that need the adapters but won't use them much?

P.S. if anyone has an extra 12026 ford threaded adapter let me know!

I've been searching for a while now and can't find any other makers besides stant and AST so I guess those are my options unless I want to go with the bladder type.

I was really hoping there was another option for just the adapters to use with the stant tester. Didn't really want to buy a whole nother kit. I have a handful of stant adapters and only need maybe one extra a year. So will probably just stick with the stant setup but was just wondering if there was any other options for adapters? Plus if they come out with a new system that I need a new adapter for I doubt that HF will have it and doubt they will sell the new adapters individually.

I've been looking on Ebay for adapter for my SO / Stant tester and I'm thinking of buying a larger tester kit similar to the HF kit. For the price I can get it from $89.00 -$139.00 .That's the price of 3-4 adapters for the SO.The HF store by me has their tester for $139.00 in stock.

This may not be the solution for buying one adapter on the cheap, but this Astro Pneumatic set is awesome, and at a VERY good price. This one set includes adapters for virtually all types of cars, includes a pressure tester, and a vacuum filler system similar to an Air Lift.

Yes, it's all Chicom made, and much of it is made of plastic; but it works really well. I previously had a Snap-on pressure tester, and a half dozen or so of the AST adapters, but sold them when I got this. It's just far superior in design, even if a little less well made. I have a couple of older BMWs that need occasional cooling system attention, and a vacuum device is almost essential for filling the coolant without air pockets. What's awesome is that the cap adapters, the pressure tester and the vacuum filler all connect to each other and work as an integrated system.
