I'm glad to hear you've found a doctor that you're confident in, that's half the battle sometimes. Keep with it, and everything will work out.

Damn, TimeWarp... This is my first time seeing pics of your condition. That's horrible - but I'm with the rest of the folks here, hoping for a speedy recovery.

If I had some "magic bullets" I'd surely send them your way, man.

Thanks!

Late last week things started to turn south again, they Manuka honey seemed
Like it was working but like everything else it stopped working. Went to
Doc yesterday morning and was Admitted to hospital so I could. Be monitored

So instead of getting anything done lay In A hospital bed.
It's been a pretty rough couple of weeks, and this was just going to doc
Visits and doing nothing, complete change of diet. . . .

Hands are now in a lot of pain and itch too.

After reading my last post had to chuckle but instead of editing thought
It would be easier to post reply. Hands in pretty rough shape which makes
It difficult to type from smart phone, dumb phone...

That was great! Nurses liked it too. . .

Had reaction to yet another antibiotic.

Hey, bud... You just take it easy and take care of #1, yourself. Don't worry about your project right now, it isn't going anywhere (remember, it's a Ford...) :lol_hitti

^ That was complete sarcasm, just in case it wasn't completely obvious. I'm amazed at your work on it thus far, and can't wait to see the finished product. It'll happen - but your focus is on your body right now, not in merging two other bodies from different eras.

If your nurses have a sense of humor, let me share one that my grandmother used to say...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joe was in the hospital and it was time for lunch. He looks at his lunch and says, "I don't like chicken soup, bring something else." The hospital worker said, "It's good for you, the doctor said you should have it." But the patient refused to eat. That night, a patient in the room with Joe had a bad stomach pain so the nurses came in to give him an enema. By mistake, they gave the enema to Joe.
The following week, when he was leaving the hospital, a new patient asked him how he liked the hospital. He told him, "Well, the hospital itself is pretty good, but they're very strict about their food. Here's a good tip - when they bring up chicken soup you better eat it, or else they'll come back in the middle of the night and shove it up your ***!"
Great joke!
Will be in hospital a while yet until they figure out what's up.
Quick update: Ended up spending a week in the Hospital, released late friday.
Had a lot of pain in arm in IV area prior to leaving, in short the nurse refused to remove it because of pain. Even though the IV kept stopping the nurse would disappear. Well today is the 5th day of pain from IV.
Today back to the hospital to see doc where they now say I have Phlebitis caused by the IV. Leg has now gotten worse . . .
So, If anyone is serious about buying a ecoboost or 427 project truck at a reasonable $$$ Please contact me.
With all the medical piling up there is no way I can re-coup from this any time soon. Garage also goes unfinished with the OSB siding getting eaten alive by the sun, no garage doors on shop etc. And I cannot be on my feet.
Oh, I am back on the Valley Fever Meds. Never expected things to be worse after a weeks hospital stay.
I am sorry to read your words, and you let your project, but health first ...
My wife when she saw the photo of her legs ...
Said it was phlebitis ... The mother of my wife almost had legs amputated ...
You may even find it strange my suggestions ...
But I would say that in addition to the medications your doctor prescribes you help with ...
Bathing in its feathers with cassava leaf tea as hot as you endure ** Activates circulation **
Then wrap their feathers with white clay ... this eliminates fever leg.
Hand injury caused by corticosteroids here was solved (clobetasol propionate). cream.
Are real events that I witnessed with my wife's mother today her this cured
I know you may think this strange treatment, but it is natural and actually works bringing good results
Search on the subject, you will do not harm those searching, phlebitis, thrombosis can turn
good luck.
edt: Bath cassava leaf, first day 4 hours in 4 hours, it takes pain fast
Just to make it clear. It is not a circulation issue with my leg.
After a lot of testing while in hospital EKG, Heart Stress Tests, Heart Scans,
MRI and Ultra Sound of Legs, A ton of blood work the leg issue is a form of cellulitis (skin infection)
The arm at IV point is Phlebitis and yes its more painful than the leg or anything else I have ever had. Apparent a blood clot had been in arm around IV insertion point, veins in area are super hard and swollen.
Add the Valley Fever in which the doc confirmed yesterday is still lingering at almost a years time. Valley Fever goes to weakest point.
The VF first went into my right lung and made a mess of it but now that seems to have cleared at least per last x-ray.
Any antibiotic for leg only seems to work for a couple days, a very resistant strain.
So sorry your health issues can't be solved.
Did you consider going to Mayo clinic??
Any possible water treatment / salt bath for your skin condition?? There are people with eczema that make trips to Dead Sea to soak in the salt water.
Hope you find the answer soon. Good luck & God bless.
Tried to find the latest and greatest news on this disease and found this May, 2013 NPR radio piece. I hope your doctors are able to treat your symptoms as best they can; considering that it is not being given the attention it deserves by the CDC.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/201...rious-valley-fever-rise-in-american-southwest
I wish you the best, and hope you have a 'champion' to get you the best treatment that your situation requires.
Docs came up with a strong med that seems to be helping leg and no allergic reaction but the other side effects pretty much have me bed-ridden .
Zyvox~ Along with the Valley Fever med is really making me sick.
The outrageous pricing on Zyvox boggles the mind. But, I guess if it does the job what does one do?
Approx 3700.00 for 14 days of pills! (that makes me as sick as I have ever been)
Keep in mind there are three Mayo Clinics the one everyone has heard about in Rochester MN ,and also one in AZ and one in FL. Ask me how I know. I spent 9 days in MN back in January 2007. We will keep you in our prayers and God speed on a full recovery! Oops missed the part where you are only 30 mins from Mayo!
I am about ready to head to Mayo problem is its 50% out of pocket with my insurance there.(my oldest daughter just started there today as a volunteer)
Almost landed in ER again on wednesday. Puss oozing out of leg again, all red and still getting allergic reaction to Zyvox.
6 more days to put up with the Zyvox, it does seem to be trying to clear things up on one hand. Internal Disease doc said he gave it the best meds he could and no idea whats up. Sounded to me like he was ready to give up . .
I was told if the redness continues or my temp goes over 101 its time to head to ER.
Back when I had my problem the doctors told me it's not a fever untill you reach 101.5, but my body tells me when I get about 99.5 it doesn't feel right at all. All I found out was that I had a "fever of unknown origin".
Hey there,
My first post on a garage forum about medical stuff! Wonders never cease.
I've read through but may have missed some stuff.
Has anybody addressed or advised you on what your eating at all.
I see a lot of pills being prescribed but not much more.
Awesome build by the way in the early pics I saw. Lol.
Seems another mod moved it back to FP.
To others here interested in these builds.
Just a quick update before this thread goes away.
Seems the mods cannot agree where this belongs.
I recently was going to do some updates and requested this thread to be moved out of FP.
I just do not enjoy wading thru all the **** in FP to find garage related posts.
To those that like the what I call junk here thats fine but its not for me.
I have been told just dont read it.
So with that this looks like the end of the ecoboost build here along with the 482" 66 F100
I was pretty much let known if I do not like it here then go elsewhere!
Seems all the what I call garbage here is more important than this type of thread, yeah I did have a bit of health stuff here as when people asked or wondered why I was not giving updates I posted a bit of health stuff with health updates. Its been since June since I gave a health update and had planned on now moving forward with these builds.
Getting close to 200,000 views and really hate to see all this hard work go away.
I am not afraid to say it I do not like a lot of what is being posted in FP. THe reason I want out. Some really good folks here but just not where I want to hang out its just not what I was promised when I agreed to have this thread put here.
Maybe its when A person is sick and unable to work for a year and a half they get a bit grumpy, dunno.
If anyone wants to drop me a email
superdragpak-ecoboosted66f100 at yahoo dot com
Its would be just to difficult for me at this time to build a thread elsewhere.
My dad had a 66 back in the day, we drove that back and forth to MN quite a few times for summer vacation to visit family. Can't wait to see this one finished. Hey...I'm in the market for a truck, is this one for sale? :lol_hitti
