Umm... New USA-Made Crescent Wrenches at HD?

One of my local HD has a mix, textured Grip USA and smooth grip China. The 8" were all USA and one China in the back. Oddly enough all the 8" had some machining defects in the jaw area. The China version did not have this. Go figure.
All have Apex as the manufacturer listed on the back, USA and China.
All the other sizes were mostly China, including the 6" and 10" combo pack, but I did find some USA way in the back on the 6" and 10" wrenches. I bought a 10" USA adjustable. No machining defects on this one. Not sure if these were old stock or not, since the stock arrangement is inconclusive (USA mostly way in the back, but the reverse on the 8")..
I will check the other HD close by when I am there next.

I remember the package said copyright 2004 on the back. They were behind like 10 others on the hook. You kinda look like your up to something when your digging through the hooks.

i never ask for help from those guys, very rare i find an hd or lowes guy who knows anything about the dept they work in.
The guy in the plumbing section at my local HD has been helpful a couple of times, but for the most part you are right...
I gave up on every other brand of adjustable wrench when I first used my Channel Locks brand 8" adjustable wrench. It is very well designed and fits into some tight places and accommodates a wider range of nuts It holds bolts precisely with little to no slop. I believe that they are also made in the USA. I use mine daily as an industrial electrician. It has earned its spot in my tool pouch. Check out the Channel Locks product vids on YouTube.
You must have gotten all of ours. 100% China; every size.
