I have a Hobart Hood from about 7 years or so ago. It ranks as one of the best gifts I've had, but in the last couple months, it has gotten much slower at responding to the arc. I have been charging it regularly (solar).

Do these have a lifespan that I've exceeded? I don't have the manual for it anymore and the internets aren't helping.

i had an older solar only AD hood that suddenly stopped darkening.
after some extensive searching i found the manufacturer of the AD lens.

10 year life expectancy, mine was 11 years old. :dunno:

i got my moneys worth out of it
replaced it with a miller prohobby
