Rcleaver - those are nice cabinets! Can you provide some of the details on how you made the frames and the doors? Where did you get your MDF (I am in Warrenton). I need to build garage cabinets and a pantry for my wife. Her pantry need would be a good excuse to get some more tools and then build mine.
I found an article in a wood working magazine. I don't have the reference anymore. They are not difficult if you are skilled at making precise cuts. I got the 3/4" MDF at Lowes in Woodbridge. The cabinet is just a frameless box. The uppers are 15" deep and the lowers are 24" deep. The doors should be cut to the same size as the cabinets vertically, but about 1/4" smaller horizontally, so the adjacent doors don't bind. I used surface mounted hinges because they were less than $1 each, but I would use mortised, adjustable hinges if I were to do it again. I think the cabinets are about 15" wide. Don't make them much bigger than that -- the MDF is heavy and the doors might sag even with a mortised hinge. I used adjustable shelves with the holes about 1" apart. Don't forget to build a bottom frame for a toe kick, or else build the toe kick into the bottom cabinets. The backs are 1/4" plywood with a MDF nailing board across the top. You can see from the picture that I mounted a 2x4 for the uppers to rest on -- permanently. That way they can hold a lot of weight.
I also coated the shelves and counter with 3 coats of urethane. To clean the counter I just use steel wool lightly -- it works great.
BTW, the exact size doesn't much matter as long as the cabinet tops and bottoms are the same, the sides are all the same, and the doors are sized as above. I used jigs wherever possible to get precise cuts, especially for positioning the hardware and routing the doors. Here is the bit I used:
