So ive been looking for a decent tool box for some time now. Our snap on guy took in on trade a KRA 4813 in red. The older style without the long drawer on top. He asl has a smaller 3 drawer snap on to go with it. He said he could do 500 for them both. Also i cna warranty the drawer slides if i want. Would still have full warranty on the box.

Is this a good price?

Ill post pictures in a bit.

I always liked the Kra 4800. The older Kra's had slightly better 6" casters, total load of 2800 lbs vs 2400 today. I'd buy it $500.

I have the newer version you pictured and it's a decent box but not a killer heavy duty box.
For $500 for the both I'm thinking you should do it if you can afford it and you like the box

Sounds like a good deal. Even if you end up not liking it down the road it will be easy to get your money back

Good deal, buy it. The KRA429 middle box is nice as well.

Do you know what the side cabinet sold for by chance?

Anyone have an idea on how to clean the front of the box without removing the paint?

My order of progression

Water
Car wash soap (cheap jug of purple stuff, can't recall name off hand)
Dawn dish soap
Rubbing alcohol*
Acetone*
Simple green for rattle can paint*
GooGone for spots

*=Use with caution as it will remove factory paint. So I take it you got the boxes?

I'd grab them asap if you want them. 500 for both is a screaming deal considering you are buying it off the truck with a full warranty. 500 for both would be a good deal on CL from a private party.
