anybody bought from this retail store ?? was in there today and got a set of crowfoot wrenches 10 mm - 19 mm for 15.95.
also got some 1/2 drive swivel impacts 13 mm - 19mm for 29.95
hell that would cost me over 300.00 on tool truck ,we will see how they hold up .
i bought a few large magnetic trays there before and they work great on the roll cart they are appx 9inches by 9 inches for 10.00 apiece
keeps sockets and hardware from rolling around

anybody bought from this retail store ??

I was in a Northern Tool tonight for the first time in a few years. Apparently when I get a flyer, they don't list the store location of the one I went into, b/c I didn't know it was there.

Anyway, I was NOT impressed. Their prices were much higher than Harbor Freight, and they had just as much stuff made in China. The only thing I didn't see made in China was some Channelocks pliers. Their toolbox brand was similar to the US General brand that HF makes, but HF's are better priced. I was in the store for about a half hour, and did pick up a catalog I'll go through, but didn't feel I'd missed anything by not having shopped there in awhile.

We have one about 45 miles from here that I go to about once every 6 weeks. Lots of China/Taiwan stuff, like pretty much every other store, but also a lot of USA stuff. This one carries Channellock, Baltimore Tool Works, Dasco, Enderes, Eklind, Bondhus plus a lot of electrical and car stuff that is USA made. Big selection of Hobart welding equipment. I bought some USA made wheel chocks there last month.

My understanding is that Northern sells more parts and equipment than HF. For the tools and such, they are basically the same as HF. But if you need tractor seats, hydraulic hoses and pumps or 3 pt hitch stuff, then Northern probably has you covered.

I have been buying from northern online and catalog for years. HF does not carry many area of stuff or as full of a line as northern many times. Yes however I still buy from harbor fright as well
I have bought many trailer parts, Brake drums and backings, trailer axles, replacement tires and rims, hitch parts, I think they have a pretty good selection of heaters and stoves and stuff and of coarse hydraulics. I always thought there shipping was fair considering how much most of the stuff I buy from them weighs quit a bit.
