In my apron pocket I keep a sharpie, an inkpen, a 6" scale, a pocket screwdriver, and a carbide scribe.

On my right hip pocket I have a stanley 12' tape measure, and my kershaw pocket knife.

In my left hip pocket I have my iphone 5. I am almost always wearing Koss earplug style earbuds so I can listen to music while I grind and do other noisy tasks. When not in my ears, they ride in my right shirt pocket.

BTW, I'm a welder/ metal fabricator.

Looking at that picture I can't imagine what you do, I might guess an inspector by the number of measuring tools.

For my working carried I carried a pocket screwdriver and a set of hex keys. Those did 50% of the work. On the side was a full tool box backed up by a toolroom. Nowadays I'm with Steevo.

I was an engineer before I retired. I carried a Leatherman multitool in a belt holster at all times -- on and off the job. Before multitools were available, I carried folding knives and a small screwdriver or two.

I have a decent multitool collection and still carry and use a multitool daily -- either a Leatherman, Victorinox, Crescent (ToolZall Pro), SOG, etc.

A small pocketknife, electrical tape, teflon tape, a black sharpie, a pen, a flashlight and a pack of smokes. I'm a motor hand on a drilling rig so in just about every building there is tools for repairs but those are the things I use non stop so it'd be a pain to walk around for one of them all the time.

And no, you really don't want to know the kind of things I have to scrape up with it.

I'm a finish carpenter, only trim with this company. My favorite tape is Stanley Fat Max Extreme 16'.

I also carry a small notepad, wallet, cash, my keys and my iPod 4 with noise cancellation ear buds. In the iPod I have an app that is my builder's calculator.

I listen to music all day because I can't stand "rancheras" (typical Mexican music in a jobsite) and it keeps me focused. I listen to reggae, drum and base, dubstep and hip hop.

Sometimes, depending on what im doing, I carry a folding Japanese saw, a 16oz mallet or a 12oz hammer, torpedo level, divider for scribing, etc.

Pen, notebook, 6" scale, Surefire P2X, and ID badge to move around the building. Used to alternate between a Benchmade pocketknife and Leatherman Wave but somebody went and asked for 'clarification' on the companies weapons policy... now no more pocket knife or Leatherman

Wallet (sometimes), iPhone, and office keys with electronic fob, no gaudy keychain either, just a key ring.

I sit behind a desk these days.

A very small swiss army knife, two pairs of gloves, a pen, a magic stick [plastic stick used for auto trim etc.], wallet, tool pouch full of parts depending on what station I'm working, and phone. We have to wear safety glasses and a bump cap when online.

Nothing in my pockets, I wish I was able to play with tools all day like you guys.

I have started carrying a Streamlight stylus pro in my pocket at night, it comes in handy!

The only constants are: Work cell phone, small pocket knife (Kershaw SO 1620) and a pen.
May add lots of other stuff depending on the job of the day - most commonly a measuring tape and sharpie for fabrication layout.
