Just thinking aloud here, but does anyone have blacknwhitepit? Seems he should be in on this too, but I don't see his name on the list.

I agree that he should be included, although kinda ruins the fun as he is picking the Santas. Maybe we can come up with something to do.

The guy is a veteran and a good guy for doing all this. I will chip in towards something or arrange with some others help a package. We would have to do it by PM to hide what we could do

I figured that either one or two of us volunteer to send him something (I certainly would), but we can also all chip in a little towards an Amazon gift card or something. If everyone that entered chipped in just $2, that would amount to a very sizable holiday treat.

I honestly would not be able to stay on top of something like that.

One thing we could do is create an email address that everyone willing can send an Amazon gift card amount to. Then, around the holidays we send the username and password to blacknwhitepit just before Christmas.

It might be easier to get his address and decide amongst ourselves who his Secret Santa(s) will be.

I counted 125 for the last list he posted. If everyone chips in a least a buck that would be huge as im sure some here will likely contribute more. I do like the amazon idea stuey.

I like both ideas. Does anyone have his address or are we going to have to force it out of him. Obviously not post it online for the whole world to see.

I have a perfect item for him. Looking at his posts he seems easy to shop for.

I'm in too. He deserves something for the time and stress to do all of this. If we could get his email we could all send an Amazon e-gift card. It wouldn't be a surprise, but he could get something wanted/needed.

If we can't get his info maybe we could send money to HJE in his name? Anyone think that would work?

Progress is being made and I am a habitually late shopper! A piece of Canadian culture needs to be procured and off goes the package. I wonder if a poutine will make it through the postal service ?

I have my package mailed out to my SS recipient.

If people would like to do a gift card for blacknwhitepit I would help out and head this up for the gift card purchase. If people would feel comfortable doing a paypal type scenario and then I could do one gift card purchase that would be one way to do this. PM me if anyone has ideas or other ways to do this. I would like to just do a gift payment and also create an email list of those who donated a few bucks so I can mail that list out to all who would donate.

Third party HJE shipment and a follow up personal swag box on its way. HJE probably already there.

MERRY CHRISTMAS all!

Sent mine out yesterday. A little worried about my guy though, he may have got caught in the ice storm down south.

Thanks all for the offers.... But truly nothing is needed for me doing the Secret Santa... Consider it a labor of love (gawd, that just sounds wrong...:lol_hitti)...

Anyway, I would like to note that I was stuck in Kansas City for an extra day this weekend and had the good fortune to be able to visit the Harry Epstein store!!!!!!

It was pretty much everything I thought it would be and more...

Jori gave me a personal tour of the place and the history of this building/company is amazing... I wanted to take more photos, but I was too much in awe of all the history and inventory to remember to take more....

Anyone who can make the pilgrimage should do it... It is totally worth it... I would challenge you to find any other place in the United States doing business the same way with like inventory who do things the way they do....It is a snapshot back in time... Receipts written on paper, controlled disorganization and deals made on a handshake...... in other words... Awesome!

All the gift I need...

Thanks again Jori...

Regards,

-BWP

Ain't it awesome?

I was in there one day last year. Picked up some odds and ends. Spent quite a bit of time just marveling at all the cool stuff.

Sounds good. If anyone wants to pitch in just send me a PM. Like I mentioned, anyone that does I will keep a simple spreadsheet showing names of those who donated so I can send it out to anyone that wants it. If you do send money for this, please ensure you put your user name in the paypal gift payment so I can keep track of those who sent money.

Brian

I have an idea of what to do. I would like to get anybody wanting to chip in to do so before Dec 15th. Next Sunday, I will PM all members who have donated on my thought. I think it will be a good one.
