While moving stuff around to make room for my daughters car, need to change the oil pump, I went to the fridge to get a beer.
I keep a couple in the freezer, keeps them just right.
Except the frost grew to where I couldn't get the bottle out.:shocking:

Talk about a panic.

No, I didn't run to the torch ( would make the other bottles hot), just chipped away.

It was like an emergency , the need to hurry up, but don't put a hole in the coils, or worse, break the bottle.

Never had a beer stuck in the fridge before!!!!

My wife does that with sodas and seltzers, then forgets about them. Orange soda is a mess to try to clean out. Try leaving sodas out on the back porch when it's below freezing. When the cans exploed, it sounds like a pistol shot.

I learned to drink beer on the rocks while visiting the Philippines. Takes some getting used to but after all, many people have no problem with soft drinks with ice cubes.

What are those San Miguels up to now - $.16 a beer

At that price they taste mighty fine

When the resort charged me (my wife's Aunt owns it) they were charging $.30 for a San Miguel. The outstanding rum in the Philippines, Tanduay, was about $3 a bottle.

Had to give it all up, I liked it too much.

I'm shaking and upset just thinking about it.
You may need some PTSD counseling to avoid spiraling down into a full fledged depressive state.

Good luck, and stay strong!

My uncle drank beer with ice. You can get used yo it.

Try putting vanilla ice cream in it. (miller Milkshake) Tastes a lot better than it sounds.

I learned to drink and like warm beer in Germany. When I got to Vietnam I continued to drink it warm. The local ice was not considered hygienic and I stayed away. At Clark and Subic Bay the beer was cold and some establishments off base also offered chilled beer. Out in the small towns you could usually get ice cubes but I always passed.

Holy ****!

Do not touch the car until you solve the beer issue completely. Starting a job with the
wrong tools is a recipe for disaster. 1. You can always adopt a new daughter. 2. She could get another car. 3. She can wait.

A lost moment with a proper beer is irretrievable. BTW, are you okay? How did this event make you feel? If you need someone to talk to I am here for you bro.

I see you hail from SW Fl. To me that is Key West. In my opinion, that condition would warrent a call to 911! It's effing hot there!

Probably a good thing it wasn't a can. Your lips might have stuck to it after you got it out.

Go ahead and try a can next time. . . . I TRIPLE-dog-dare ya!

Man, thanks for all the moral support. Its OK now, got all the beer out, now my temporary new problem is..... no beer.
Hmmm, maybe my daughter should go get me some, I'll only have to wait 3 years until shes 21.

Next best thing, ( my son is 22) , he has his own small fridge that is in the garage, ( he thinks it too far for me to walk up there) usally full of cold beer, ( I think he watches to see if I take any out), can you see where this is going?

I would'nt take all of his cold beer.......

Just one to cover the trip back to my shop fridge, carrying a handful of his beer from the case I always trip over in the garage. He don't pay attention to that one, jst wonders why I have Bud Light from time to time.

Ill pass on licking the frozen can, Hopefully at my age I past the most of the stupid things in life, I just like to watch others do them.

I'm still 6 hrs from Key West and its not quite as weired here, but gets hotter than hell.Almost to hot to drink beer.

Done my share of beer on ice, only if I have to. ( got plenty of frost though)
