The door is at the corner to the drivers side of my truck.

My mother in law passed away on Nov. 27th and the house (1 house away from ours) was left to my wife. We are going to keep this place and rent the house out so we can use the garage. Just not going to be the same.
The overhang is 10-12 inches.

8 days is good but I got ya beat - 6 days including the pad - right to lock up, including shingles, siding and gutters.

Sounds like you inherited a house - so its not like it's "too bad" you have to move! (Notwithstanding the passing of your MI.... )

My condolences on your MIL.

As far as moving, is there that much of differences in the two houses to only move one house away? How attached is the wife to her moms house? Maybe make a deal with the neighbor in between to get him to swap houses, then you could get the property right next door and either oversee renting it, or maybe even razing it and doubling your property size and increase the value of your place. Just a thought.

We have been tossing things around and have about 30 different scenarios to go through. Did I mention the MIL's house has a 32wX50d garage with radiant heat. Also a 1750sq. ft. apartment above which is another rental property. Decisions Decisions!

Did they concrete your poles in first?

The holes are 18 inches wwide and 4 feet deep. The pole is set on a bed of dry concrete mix then mix is poured 18 inches up the pole then the rest is flled with dirt and packed down. Barn is solid as a rock!
