who makes decent quality screwdrivers?

I went went a set of Williams.. Ordered the six piece phillips set.. So far Im happy with them over my old Craftsman..

I have had Allen screwdrivers for almost 10 years and have been real happy with them. I broke the tip off of the flathead trying to pry/remove an inner wheel bearing race once haha. I probably wouldn't recommend craftsman or stanley. I have a cheap stanley set and see craftsman all the time and they both disappoint. The stanley handles are terrible and the craftsman seem to flex and/or break at will.

After adding that + shipping, it's real close to Amazon's price...

If you search, you can always save some money, I was just trying to point folks in a direction where some damn nice screwdrivers lived...

Klein, in the Home Depot electical section. I have some that have seen nearly daily use for 10 years now. Also like their pliers and nut drivers.

Very true...
IMHO boils down to what YOU want to spend on a set....I think the reason people are recommending the 100 buck sets is once you use em, you'll never go back to CMan or anything less...I used to think a screwdriver is a screwdriver, how can such a simple tool be vastly different right? Wrong...now if one of my co-workers hands me a POS driver, I'll give it back and run out to my car to grab my Whia or SO's...

Brands I own & use + recommend: MAC/Macsimizer, Snappy and Whia.

Personally I wouldn't shop in the middle...I'd go with the HF set or a set of Macsimizer or Instinct drivers...

I bought SO Instinct's but they sit never used in a box at home. Almost useless to me because the length is never right. I have a SO ratcheting screwdriver for when I want to take a screw out without a power tool... Which is almost never I have a few Cman slotted screwdrivers for prying on stuff and for the price they can't be beat.

Yes and the PH3 is the same size has that second screwdriver from the top.

Felo is what I recommend made in Germany and very high quality. I prefer the Ergonic they have gel cushions in them and they are very comfortable to use.

Just buy the HF ones and don't loose any sleep over what everyone else is shilling.

Very much depends on what you are working on.

I have a set of Jet screwdrivers and really like them. They seem to have some great mid-price tools I never hear of on GJ.

A squirt of brake clean and a rag will get of almost every kind of printing
off almost every kind of surface if that kind of thing really bothers you.





As for the OP, I think almost every good brand has been mentioned,
although I would like to offer the Facom Protwist screwdrivers into
the mix. I have a Moon pile of these and they are fantastic.

I use craftsman and husky. As far as I know they are still made in USA.

Haven't destroyed one yet.
