Hitches are 1/3 original cost. Balls are a few bucks off. Guess they're switching suppliers?

Some hitches are more like 50% off.

I picked up an LED trailer light kit there yesterday. $30 marked down from $50. Pretty much anything Reese was discounted.

it is Reese recently moved all remining US mafde products to mexico and Closed a large plant in Indiana, We Curt mfg just invested Millions in out Eauclaire Wisc plant to keep production Here in the USA.

Thought Curt was foreign too.

In the towing section today, I scored a pair of 20' x 2" tow straps. 10,000 pound capacity. $2.99 each after rebate.

I saw those, in the little bags.

Eau Claire is also home to Menards, so not a particularly huge surprise.

Curt probably makes hitches there and most things like balls/etc. elsewhere.

One of the main reasons im doing more and more shopping at Menards is their continual effort to source US products

I especially like that they have Made in USA sales, which not only provides decent deals on quality products but also makes people aware of items a that are made here that you typically wouldn't think of.

Sounds like I need to make a trip to Menards to scope out their hitch stuff!

Agreed, though Farm & Fleet across the road still is my favorite!

Is this a pack of two? Seems very very cheap at $4.50 each then.

No, I bought that one. 8.99 for one.

EDIT: Look at the specs.

Package Contents: One Class III / IV Standard Ball Mount

Thanks, I was expecting one, but the description is very misleading when it says 2 pack. I do need a second, but the orders already in, so will grab another somewhere else I guess.

I also like the made in USA sales. I just wish they wouldn't run the almost free after rebate Chinese junk and junk tool sale the next week it kinda defeats the purpose.

The new trailering stuff is out.

Generic brand (perhaps Menards), all Made in China garbage.

The prices are quite high… two pieces of reflective tape for 8 bucks?

Shoulda kept the Reese.

Router bits went from Bosch/Bosch Vermont to CMT Made in Italy… not sure if that's an improvement?

Quite a bit of their free after rebate junk is actually USA-made junk. Not all of it of course, but I've been surprised.

As for the hitches, they did have some great deals. I bought several hitch pins for around $1/each. I have a habit of misplacing those, so the more the merrier! The hitches were good prices too, but I find a lot of those used and dirt cheap at sales.

Thanks for posting Farmall450. I lent my hitch mount and ball to someone and never got it back. I needed one. Menards offered on clearance a forged Reese 2 inch drop mount for $22. Normally $35. The thing weighs 13 lbs and is a solid, not welded, forged steel hitch mount. I pick it up at the store on Saturday.
