Got my flyer for Jan CC days monday. Nothing in it for me. Wish they would bring back the discount on all tools, just might buy in other departments if they did.

No mention of a 2009 CC Calendar with the coupons in the back. Used my last 2008 $10off $50 tool purchase coupon to buy an intermediate chest in the new local Dealer Store yesterday.

OK; so how does this work exactally? I finally signed up online for CC, and they sent me an e-mail with a membership #. Do I take this print out to Sears and show it to the cashier to get the 25% off? Or do I have to wait till they send me a card?

Actually, there is a calendar, but this year it is digital. You need to download it as an application:

Did anyone notice that on the clubdeals page that you can get 25% off a metric socket set if you buy the standard set (second row) - BUT, you get 50% off a standard if you buy the metric set (about another 5 rows down)!!! :headscrat
Sears, will you never cease to amaze me

BTW, I wonder if you can combine these sales?

I thought that this sell was kind of weird as well had to stop and reread it. Do you have to ask which one you want on sale the 25% SAE or the 50% metric. I think I would go for the 50% off metric. May be you can snag the SAE at 25% and the metric at 50%.

I've had one guy insist on the card -- another guy "looked up" the information.

I was just at Sears today. I can't find my card, but offered my telephone number or name for the database. He said no dice. But hopefully, I'll find a more cooperative salesman.

I've been eyeing the Hansen and other socket organizers and hope to make the trip tomorrow.

I tried to pick up the 9 pc. metric combo wrench set today for $19.99 but they were sold out:mad:

That's BS. They've looked up my name several times. I've been a member for over a year and STILL haven't received my card. I took a picture of my CC Membership # on my cell phone and use that if they ask for it now. Usually they'll have a card in their own wallet and pull it out if you forget yours or haven't gotten it yet.

I went this moring with an e-mail print out with my number on it. They did'nt care to see it; they just typed in my phone number to find my CC info and that worked out good. I bought all of my stores 3/8 plastic socket rails. If only they would stock the extra clips:headscrat, they never have any of those. They let me use a $5 of off $30 as well on top of the CC discount. So all is good.

I had good luck using the 5 off 30 as well.

The $9.99 bar clamps in the flyer are very robust. The shelves were cleared of them but they had a stash in the back. They seem like a very good deal and good quality.

There are 7 piece Craftsman flex head, lockable ratcheting combination wrench sets at my Sears that are marked down from $124.99 to 79.99.

What do you guys think of that deal? I guess it's around 40% off or so? I was going to pick up at least the SAE set, but I've held off.

If you like those wrenches, that's the cheapest I have ever seen them. Some people say they're too bulky.

Fed........it's funny that you bring that up b/c I was thinking that they had some size to them when I was standing there checking them out and debating on whether I "needed" them or not.

I didn't get them cause I figured, they were kind of big which part of me liked as much as disliked........and b/c I figured they'd be really nice to have but I've gotten by without them this long and I didn't need to drop 80 bucks on them at that point. Good price though, I was tempted. While I was standing there, two other guys came by and got sets. The clerk has to come unlock the rack so you can get them down b/c he said "they walk off" if they aren't locked.

Instead, I took care of a dent in my socket sets and got my 1/2" 12pt. metric regulars taken care of. Complete set from 10 to 36mm. Also picked up the sae impact set at almost 1/2 off. (He had to unlock my impact set from the rack as well.)
