CamelCamelCamel shows it was $63 at one point but that was back in 2008. How does it work on the pressure side? It would be nice to have something I can not only drain small engines with but also use it to push gear oil to trannys/diffs

For $93, you can get the same one powered by shop air. The $70 version you have to pump like a bicycle pump.

These aren't much cheaper than the regular price at Sears minus a coupon code. The first one is $90 at Sears and you can use SAVE15 to bring it down to $75. The second is $110 and after the code is $95. I'm sure with a little more hunting a better code can be found.

Of course, at Sears you will have to pay tax, but can get 6% or more cash back.

I only use it to remove fluids.
Easy enough in most cases to install new fluids.

I remember refilling the transfer case on my S10 blazer, it's not that easy. I ended up covered in (I think it was ATF) as I had to use a battery baster to fill it up.

I can definitely see how diffs/transfer cases/etc. where you don't have the luxury of gravity.

I've only used mine for oil changes on the boats though.

Has anyone pumped gear lube into a rear/front diff with this?

I have a hand pump but it takes a long time and adjusting the bottle, takes me 10 minutes for a quart. I would buy this to help speed it up.

These Mityvacs are terrific - Have had mine for a few years - use to evac out oils and fluid only - never to put oil in. To put fluid in, I would look to get something like a Motive Brake Bleeder (call them direct to discuss - their Tech Line is helpful) should work and might be easier to clean out also - Good Luck
