You can't tell by the pictures but this was a very noisy and violent break. I believe some of my garage cleanup yesterday put something in the path of the door closing. I was on the phone handling a support call and I punched in the code to close the door. All hell broke loose and before I knew it there was a pile of twisted metal in front of me. I managed to pop things back in and it looks much better now.
I used a bungee cord to keep the door closed on the top for now but it looks like two top rollers from the upper left is completely missing. I have no idea where they flew off to or how they came out. And the bracket where the garage door opener attaches to the door broke away from the door.
Any recommendations on the best way to fix the attachment to the door for the opener? It looks like the metal is stripped and pulled out. As for the rollers I guess Home Depot may offer replacements. I can't find those rollers anywhere in my garage.
