Bingo. I am impressed. It actually blew the M14 away in nearly all of the tests the government put them through but the politics of the 50s wouldn't allow the Army to use a foreign made rifle. 90 other NATO countries chose the FN.

Agreed but T-48 variations have never been sold as surplus to the public so the "average" guy has never seen one except in museums. The only way to get one is to build it up from parts. The bare handguards alone were $450...
