Happy New Tool Year! What are your project ideas?

Everyone... hope you all are feeling optimistic for this new year of 2014 and the possibilities! I know that I am. Feeling a bit hopeful. Writing down a list of projects and looking at the possibilities. I guess I am not alone there.

So... enough with my yaking. What new ideas, concepts and project plans have you y'all come up with for this new year? Perhaps you have some mad ideas that have been brewing for awhile in your brainpan which might come forth? I know I have. I NEVER STOP THINKING or DREAMING.
A recent visit to Disneyland has rekindled some of that old spark. It's still there, smoldering. I just did not know it for what it was. Inspiration. Bingo.
So please share your dreams and sketchpad ideas here. I challenge you to think outside the box.

I dont have any long term projects. My current project is a 96 V6 camaro i bought for a daily driver. I have to work out a few small issues, noe keep it off the road longer than a weekend. A perfect camaro for 800 bones is a hard find. Maybe an LS swap in the future.

I'm wanting to make metal art, furniture and stuff to sell. I have a bunch of ideas in my head for everything from coffee tables to coat hangers and thought the local art festival in the spring might be the right venue.

move John Deere 620 into new shop for proper retoration

sell Extreme box and move into a KRL
if I manage to finish all my open ended projects, find a late 40s Chevy truck or a mid 90s Porsche for my next project

restoring vintage tractors is the most addictive hobby I have ever had, once you start with 1 you want 100. I dream of a complete collection of late 1950s 20 series, starting with my 620, next a 520, 420, 320, 720 and 820 diesels.

I need to finish some trim work at my parents house. No personal projects planned though. If anything it is to establish more tools. A tool cart and/or chest, bench grinder, drill press and more vises are on my list of items to acquire.

This year I want to sand and repaint my service cart, clean up my smaller vise,
add some more lights in my shop, find a nice used roll around tool box and hopefully get a larger air compressor in between fixing whatevev breaks around here.

I would like to build a time machine but don't think I can get my hands on the necessary materials. I'm joking...I think.

We recently moved to a new house, so a major garage outfitting project is ongoing, but aside from the infrastructure stuff - head gasket job and tidy up to sell on my wifes 400/4, general tidy up and respray of her cbr4, also to sell, get my frame jig up onto the fab table and start building her XS650 chop, engine stand for my Sportster, general service work on my Zed.

plus build a shed to hold all my air plant.

That should keep me busy for a few weekends

I hope for your sake the 300ZX you hope to build is a Z31. Z31's seem to be on the upswing in value and offer nearly as much performance potential at a fraction of the cost. Z32's values are tanking mostly due to the fact that they are so expensive to maintain, repair and modify. I've owned both, still have a Z31 will never own another Z32.

...and my plans for 2014 are to get my 240Z back on the road.

I'd rather go build something or fix something than sit and watch TV all the time. Most of it's a waste anyway. Outside of the normal demolition derby car builds and circle track racing, I want to rebuild a TDI engine in a 2001 VW Golf.

4. Continue restoration of the '74 FJ-40 Land Cruiser

I had a "unibench" in my last garage and need to finally get one built here to include a level surface for my RAS, chop saw, mortising DP and regular DP. I would like it to be a full 12' long with clamping points at each DP.
Similar to this or TimTheToolMan's.
I also like this guys blade storage rotational blade.

Going to hopefully get my '69 428 Super Cobrajet Mach 1 back on the road and to get my newly acquired Craftsman 150 DP restored along with some other vintage Craftsman tools that I've yet to purchase.

I'd love one of the big diesels but they're too much of an expensive headache with the pony motors. 620 gas is much more user friendly for my needs. I passed on a stuck 720 diesel for $2K because it would cost 5 times that to restore and maintain.

Just bought a Z32 with a 4.5 dohc Infinity V8.
Needs a bit of work to finish but already looks racy .. lol
